Congrats, you did it! You are now a dairyman, special because not many are doing it on Goats. When I had my milking does, I just had both wrists operated on for Carpal tunnels in both sides. My hand surgeon gave me a couple of NERF Balls to exercise my hands. What the heck, my does' udders were warm and productive. I get good exercise. That was 2010, and no recurrence. At the first week I was getting 10-12 ounce by the 6th week the lactation curve maxed out to 3 pints. I made sure they get water and I give a handful of peanuts while getting milked. in the PM they get another handful of ground corn, Their bodies never get short of fatty acids and amino acids from the extra grain. Later pressed with time, I looked at the locally made "MILKING MACHINE" Way overpriced. I just copied the working innards and Bingo! I made one from small battery operated food vacuum sealer, Lines from IV sets, half Gallon jar. 30 c.c. syringes went to the nipples, needles an plunger out. Worked like a charm . Those things were not patented so no problem,. 3 Pints apiece gave me 3 quarts for both. Let me know your progress. Wish I get some of my strength back I'll do it again.If you have the time and extra pair of hands, you can milk you does twice a day. Otherwise you can get by with once a day. Most important thing s to do it at the same time, eveyday.
It works great, the secret is to close off the suction cups to build up vacuum in the system, them open the cups and place on the nipples fast.. works great every time,

@@JulieHighland I pull mine apart after each milking .. pull all the inside yues out and scrub... what i can not scrub i i just soak in leach and water, all hose milk and airlines as well,, that will keep them clean and no moldy parts
