I would like to purchase this to use with a Zex kit that I already have. Is there a wiring diagram available for this? My concern is that traditional nitrous kits have external solenoids that the window switch supplies ground to within the specified rpm. With the Zex kit the solenoids are integrated into the Nitrous Managment unit and the only connections are power wire, a ground wire and a wire that reads TPS voltage and activates the solenoids at WOT. How would you wire this window switch in?
Mine was just installed on a 98 C5 M6 Vette. Using the sensor mode (TPS), my idle reads at 0.5 V. Now, when I get to the WOT setting, my screen only says 2.4. V. So I mash the pedal to program the WinMax to match the 2.4 V. setting on the right upper side of the display. So I get them to match. I was told 2.4 V. was not right. Am I good to go, or should I look into this further?
That is certainly a low voltage for WOT on a gen3 LS TPS sensor, but as long as it is consistent, it is perfectly fine to use that signal. You may trace the wire that the TPS wire on the Winmax is connected to, and make sure it is on either the purple or green wire on the TPS sensor harness.
So I am getting ready to buy this in about a week or so, I just had 1 more question... I will be using it to lock out first gear only so after i make a pass and go back for another how does the controller know it needs to lock out first gear again? and also say i wanted to spray on a roll in 2nd or 3rd do i need to take the first gear lockout off in order to do that? Thank you.

In the tps/rpm mode set at 300 rpm drop function my trans only drop 100-150 rpm between shifts, so this function is will not activate the nitrous. Meaning I can use 1st gear lock out right!!
The Gear Lockout feature is looking for a maximum RPM and a minimum RPM drop. For instance, lets say you set a 5500 shift point with a 500rpm drop. The controller will have to see at least 5500rpm followed by at least a 500rpm drop before it will engage the nitrous on a 1 gear lock out. So in your case, youd want to set it at about 100 rpm drop if you wanted it to work. My question is - what trans/ratios you running to get only a 100rpm drop?!?!?!
I am looking to buy this for my 02 Mustang GT.. Just curious cause i do have a TPS sensor, so should i be using the sensor or use the WOT switch that comes with the X series kit?
When going with the WinMax, there is no need to utilize the WOT microswitch included with the X-Series system. Please let us know if you have any other questions!
@@santivr6576 no i think u need a msd6 box and controller. But I pulled the timing by tricking my air intake sencer so when i flip the switch it think it's at -140 degrees and pulls about 4 degrees of timing. There r way to pull timing when u want it to .
Its a bit of a workaround, but it is doable. You'd program the WinMax as RPM only. On the stage 1 output, it would power a relay that allowed power to the Zex box. That way power would only be applied to the Zex box within the given RPM range and the Zex box would still activate via TPS.
You ever get this figured out? I was getting that same TPS error code before I switched to the blue wire on the TPS for tapping into. Now at idle for some odd reason my Winmax is reading the TPS percentage backwards from 100% and on down. Then I noticed at idle the Winmax was reading 3450 to 3700 at idle while my factory tach was reading 850 to 900. Not sure if I need to change the cylinders to 4 instead of 8 like other window switches I have used in the past. 2002 C5Z FBO, TSP 233/239 112 lsa cam and Nitrous Outlet plate system wet kit, Winmax, LNC 2000 etc.

That’s the whole point of a window switch.. it doesn’t energize the solenoids until it reaches a certain RPM- set “on” to 3500rpm or 250rpm above what you launch at, whichever is greater

TIMING: Can you set the amount for each stage? CRANK SENSOR: Does unit modify this signal to adjust timing?
The WinMax cannot control timing, just send a signal to a timing control box to tell it when to activate the ignition step retard

Yes, it can be used on motorcycles, but the box is not weatherproof.

Yes it will work with a WOT switch, but a WOT switch is not needed if your vehicle has a TPS as the WinMax taps in to the TPS.

Nitrous Outlet it's a built 700r4 with a low first gear. The car only has 3.73 gear

Just as good as EFI! It can also be triggered by WOT switch
