On devrait intituler la vidéo "L'art exquis de Teresa Zylis-Gara". Elle était émouvante et vraiment magnifique!! Sa beauté personnelle ajoutait encore du charme à son art interprétatif. Un Legato splendide de Soprano Lyrico-Spinto, un tantinet sombre, et un phrasé exquis faisaient de son exposition musicale quelque chose d'artistiquement supérieur!! La délicieuse mélodie de l'air de Donizetti convenait parfaitement à sa superbe dotation vocale. Du bel canto à un haut voltage de splendeur!! Teresa Żylis-Gara (23 January 1930 - 28 August 2021). I saw her only once at The Metropolitan Opera as Desdemona, replacing Renata Tebaldi. She was an exquiste artist. She is a good Anna Bolena. Perfect technique and gorgeous sound. Impeccable trills and sublime legato. I wish she had recorded it in Italian. Brava.
I assume Zylis-Gara understood German. So why does she express so little longing, regret, yearning in the first eight minutes of "Al dolce guidami"? Beautiful voice but I don't feel Anna's pain at this moment of the opera.

Starting from 6.20 it's rather painful for a while. Quite unexpected from the artist of her quality
