Guys I love this song and I don't know why but that magic hook makes me cry and think about lives that are not with me anymore. I know this song was dedicated to an old gardener that passed away at an old age.
I love this video so much; the music is amazing and the video is exceptional. I listen/watch a couple of times per month it always makes me feel...so much
This is my top favourite original piece by The California Guitar Trio, from "White Water"... Really beautiful, so delicate, finely crafted, touching music. Well, to each his own but for me, it's enchanting and it evokes some kind of peaceful natural landscape with grass, trees and water. It keeps growing, with new melodies coming. It brings me peace... Kind of... I reviewed the album it comes from , in 2004, if I remember well.
I was born and raised in the English countryside ... and this song, in a magical way, evokes the memories of those years of my life. Thank you for creating a video of a live performance of such a beautiful and heartfelt song.
I enjoyed this piece the most from their show in Folsom yesterday. This was the first piece they played, and the intro just captivated me. Such a beautiful composition.
thank u for sharing this beautiful piece of music. I am a beginner guitarist and this music video is very inspiring. The video is exceptional at showing each guitarist's technique and the musical arrangement. Every time I watch this video it lifts my spirit.
I love this video. Please make more. So amazing to be able to see their hands and pick out the individual parts. It can be really hard to decipher who's playing what in CGT. This really helps me to appreciate their work even more deeply.
Thank you so much for your comment. It's EXACTLY what I was after as a filmmaker. You made my day! Stay tuned....we're going to do a new video to go with the new album.
This piece is maybe the best they wrote themselves... Magnificent, so touching. The theme that starts just after 2:05 is so beautiful... The movie is splendid too, simple and beautiful. I saw them live 12 years ago, not for long, they opened for Spock's Beard and Enchant... they were on InsideOut Records at the time. It was breathtaking. I don't like everything they do but a good part of it, yes ! I'm not too much into bayou country nor jazz nor their King Crimson influence but the more melodic stuff is essential. I usually love their adaptations of classical stuff and the covers from various artists, like Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody...
I don't remember the details of the story, but when these guys were young and learning their craft from Robert Fripp, they lived for awhile on an old English estate which had an old English caretaker for its grounds. I may be mistaken, but I think the caretaker may have been named Les. The guys like to hang around with Les at his ancient cottage on the grounds situated next to a marshland and became fast friends with him. Les died. This song is a heartfelt tribute to him and the beauty and serenity found on the grounds he had cared for all his life.
Got to see this live. Brought tears to my eyes.
So very beautiful. This tune could go on forever & I'd never get tired of listening.
This song makes me cry everytime I listen to it... beautiful
This is such a wonderfully-made video. Beautiful song, great video production.

I just saw CGT and MG3 at the Arden in St. Albert and out of everything they played this was the song that truly blew me away. Great song.
The first time I heard the song, I KNEW I wanted to do something visual with it. It was one of the most beautiful pieces of music I had ever heard.
