I’m from Australia and I visited Bohol and Boracay and Cebu and Manila in June July 2023. Good holiday ! What I enjoyed most were the stray dogs roaming the streets and kind people feeding the poor creatures. Also what a waste of Sea Food.
i was reading comments about the road conditions for Panglao. We were here around 3 weeks ago and if only youve been to Bohol back in 2008, youll know that there is big improvement in terms of road quality and infrastructure because back then the roads were 2-lanes, bumpy, and there were little to no public transports coming in from the main island. This tourism area is just one of the tourism areas of Panglao where resorts are located and just one of the roads in the island. In fact, this island has its own airport where direct flights are coming in from Korea, China, Japan and other parts of Asia. The roads leading to the airport from the main island of Bohol are all good except that it needs bigger one, which means you really need the national government's help. The 3rd bridge from the main island of Bohol is still unfinished while the roads from the 2 main bridges going to the airport, and then airport to the tourist spots are all well paved. From the main bridges, the roads are around 2-4 lanes, well paved and recently developed. This tourist area in Alona although only a 2 lane road is well paved although it may need to be widened. But this tourist area in Bohol had to develop at its own pace without the support of the national government. Because of the development of the new airport which was a national government project, the wide paved roads coming into the airport and to the tourist areas wouldnt have been realized now. But who can fret for these development although not as grand compared to Thailand, Malaysia or Indonesia? I mean if we may see the infra of the tourist destinations of the Philippines compared to the others in Asean we still lag in terms of quality tourism infrastructure.
The LGU has to do more in improving the road, put some regulations to better manage the stores and entertainment/restaurant areas. I observe that one road has been taken over business establishments thus only one lane is open to people. It is chaotic.
Hm.. I spent a lot of money to come to the Philippines - Bohol.I'm a little disappointed, it was ok but nothing special. All I can say they can learn a lot from the tourism of Greece, Croatia or Spain. Cleanliness must be in the first place, and I did not see it over ther.
Ganda ng panglao, mas gusto ko to

Kung dati sa mga mall lang. Ngayon Beach front na ang usong lagyan nang boutique restaurants bar at marami pang iba. Sakto sa bansang pinas.
Alot of tourists and alot of money is coming to this local govt but never have good road condition👎👎👎
Pag BALUARTE ng mga DILAWAN ganyan talaga.
I’m curious to know…where does all the money generated just from tourism go?…in politicians pockets perhaps?

Govt needs to stop putting money in their pockets and into these folks' lives who work so hard every single day.
This reminds me of old Boracay.
I was there in 2012 and how it has changed.

Just looking at this video, i would perfer to visit here vs visiting Siargao. Siargao have way way too many foreigner tourists visiting
Nice, but just as crowded as boracay 😢😢
Crowded is good for the economy

They didn't clean it so that foreigners will not live in the Philippines bcoz Philippines is overpopulated already.
Dyan ka wag kang bumalik. Ndi ka namin kailangan dito
