    My bike was stolen and the thieves spray painted it really poorly, so I'm thankful you made a video that'll help me get my bike somewhat pretty looking again!

    I just picked up a bike in similar condition. I was resigned to it being great except for the paint, but you’ve inspired me to give this a try!

    Great video. Question. Does this work on factory paint . I replace a panel thats cracked. And repaint a whole goldwing from blue to pearl white.
    Or old school and paper

      @S09Engineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I think you would need to use something stronger for factory paint. The xylene removed the spray paint, but not the factory paint.

    About how much does this stuff cost? Got a bike recently and the paint job is honestly really bad on it. Probably a rattle can, but when I looked closer, theres a few small chips and the original paint looks completely untouched!

      It's about $25 for a gallon

    Hi from across the pond would this wondering if this would work on a perspex screen? I bought a fairing and they had painted the screen black so i would like to get rid of the paint what do you think?. Cheers Mal

    • @S09Engineering
      @S09Engineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I believe it will take the paint off. Will it hurt the clear plastic? I'm not sure. Probably not, but unfortunately only one way to find out. I guess you could find some similar plastic and dunk it in xylene over night and see what happens.

    I hope you keep your good work going. I have 1 question, If I mix Xylen with IPA, will it speed up the removing process? Thanks sir.

    If i want remove the second Spray to get the original paint..for motorcycle ..Can use any type of XYlene or Special Xylene..

    • @S09Engineering
      @S09Engineering  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There was nothing special about the xylene I used. I would assume any xylene you can find should be fine.

    Use Autoglym Bumper & Trim Gel once all paint is removed from plastics.

    Hi, my bike has matte black over the original paint but im not sure what kind of paint. It seems flakey and scratches off (not plasti dip) so maybe it is spray paint. Should it work on most paints? And did you have any issues damaging the original paint. Cheers

    • @S09Engineering
      @S09Engineering  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In my situation there was zero prep work done to the original finish. The black paint was pretty easy to remove and the original finish underneath seems fine. Your situation could be different if they sanded the bike before painting. Give it at try on a small hidden area and see what happens.

      @@S09Engineering awesome cheers will do, and i can see parts of original glossy paint where it has been scratched/ chipped. So am excited to see if its pristine underneath 😁. Also sorry to bother you again and i know your not a professional but i can find any xylene where i live, could isopropyl do the same job in theory? Or meths/turps? Thanks again
