I have the 2022-23. WHAT A GREAT CAR. Smooth ,pogi and packed with safety features. Pinoys are just such toyota fanboys they dont know nissan or mitsu exists.
So I like this car not only for what it only for what it offers but as an example of globalization. It offers great features for the price and this is despite the Chineese competition. Its only real competitor outside of the Vios is the Emgrand. Yes the Emgrand is less than 200k cheaper but it lacks the 360 cam and android auto connectivity. In terms of the globalization aspect, this car is known as the Versa in America and it works out to cost the same as the SR trim this car is based on. I like that the features they stripped or changed from the US model were tastefully done, for instance they took out the 1.6l NA engine and swapped it for the 1L turbo which reduces import tariffs and gives roughly the same amount of power and they took out lane keep assist which most people turn off when they start the car anyway.
Nissan should bring the new Sylphy as its main Rival to Altis and Civic despite the resurgence of Crossover. And must have the Nismo variant. Sedan is still the best Ride for Car enthusiastic like me.
Sadly, many car brands in the Philippines have stopped or at least lessened their sedan lineups due to poor sales versus MPVs, CUVs, and PPVs. I myself am a sedan and coupe guy. That new Sylphy/Sentra is indeed good (great value!) and sells well in North America (100k+ units annually).
@@StarsStripes-vh7kw true..Mitsubishi retired the Lancer and galant nameplate and replaced both with the mirage. Ford is no longer manufacturing sedans like the Ford lynx.
Sadly though, the N-Sport version was removed from the lineup due to poor sales. It starts from the 2022 Almera VL N-Sport all the way to the 2023 Almera VE N-Sport.
