About the poetic form called Ghazal:
The ghazal form of poetry originated in Ancient Arabia, spread to Ancient Persia and then to the Indian sub-continent (present day Pakistan, India and Bangladesh). Today, in Pakistan, the ghazal is the most popular poetic form not only in Urdu but in Punjabi and other regional languages.
Each ghazal couplet has an independent idea or khayaal expressed in it. If the first couplet of a ghazal is about the suffering of being separated from the beloved then the next couplet of the ghazal can be about the chaos and cruelty of the present-day world and so on. Every couplet of a ghazal has to be read and understood independently.
The first couplet (termed the Matlaa) must have both the first line and the second line end in the same rhyming words. In this particular ghazal Shum e gham dil mein the rhyming word “raknaa” occurs at the end of both the first and the second lines of the first couplet. Lastly, all other couplets of a ghazal besides the first couplet or Matlaa must have the same rhyming words in the second line which were used in the Matlaa or first couplet. In the ghazal Shum e gham dil mein all couplets have second lines ending in the rhyming word “rakhnaa”. Lastly, the poet may or may not use a pen name in the last couplet or Maqtaa of his ghazal.
A note about Yasir Abbas's pen name (takhalluss): Many Urdu ghazal poets adopt a pen name or takhalluss which they use in the very last couplet of their ghazals as a literary signature to let people know who wrote this ghazal. Mirza Ghalib, the classical Urdu poet, used the pen name Asad (meaning Lion) initially but later changed it to Ghalib (meaning the dominant one) so that his full name became Mirza Asadullah Khan Ghalib and in his Collected Works or Deewaan one will find some ghazals where the last couplet has the pen name Asad but where most ghazals have the pen name Ghalib in the last couplet.
Coming to Yasir Abbas's pen name Azaaee, the word Azaa in Urdu means mourning the martyrdom of Imam Hazrat Hussain ibne Ali (the Prophet's grandson) at Karbala in the Battle of Karbala on 10th October 680 AD by the army of Caliph Yazeed (the fake Caliph of Islam in Damascus, Iraq) and the martyrdom of most of Imam Hussain's family and companions, including Imam Hussain's six-month old son, Ali al-Asghar, with the women and children taken as prisoners and this event led to the foundation of Shia Islam, a major sect of Islam. So, Yasir Abbas's pen name Azaaee means one who mourns the martyrdom of Imam Hazrat Hussain. Also, the word Yasir means one who is extemely sad (Yaas = extreme sadness).

An Urdu ghazal by poet Yasir Abbas Azaaee:
Shum e gham dil mein ja-lye rakhnaa
یاسر عباس عزائی کی لکھی ایک غزل
Here are the four couplets of this Urdu ghazal Shum e gham dil mein ja-lye rakhnaa with my translation in English following each couplet. The melody or tune of this ghazal and the correct Urdu pronunciation of the lyrics of this ghazal can be learnt by watching this TH-cam video where an Indian Ghazal singer Rafeeq Hussain has sung this ghazal Shum e gham dil mein ja-lye rakhnaa:

Urdu ghazal Shum e gham dil mein ja-lye rakhnaa by Yasir Abbas Azaaee
Shum e gham dil mein ja-lye rakhnaa
    Aass milne kee la-gye rakhnaa
English Translation by Talat Afroze: The Urdu word shama means a small oil lamp or a burning candle. This word shama is shortened to shum and the linking phrase “e gham” (gham = sorrow) is added so the whole poetic phrase now becomes Shum e gham which means the Lamp of my Sorrow.
    The first couplet states:
Keep the lamp of my sorrow burning brightly within your heart (the sorrow of our being separated),
Keep alive the hope that we will meet again one day . . .
Mein to aa-oon gaa sabaa kee soorat
Khood ko shub bhar naa ja-gye rakhnaa
English Translation by Talat Afroze: The Urdu word Sabaa means the early morning breeze.
    The second couplet states:
I will come to you like the gently blowing early morning breeze . . .
Don't let yourself stay up all night, My Love
Laut ker jub bhee tere paass aa-oon
    Phool cheh-ray pe khil-aye rakhnaa
English Translation by Talat Afroze: The Urdu word Laut means to return.
    The third couplet states:
Whenever I return to you my Love,
Greet me with a face as fresh as flowers in bloom
    Aik naasoor bun gayaa Yaasir
Dil mein chaahat ko chup-aye rakhnaa
English Translation by Talat Afroze: The Urdu word Naasoor means a flesh wound which is not healing and has lingered on chronically for a long time and continues to hurt.
    The fourth couplet states:
Yaasir the Poet has become a chronic wound
Due to his habit of always hiding his love deep within his heart . . .
