I'm waiting for a case where a defendant says "i'm sorry, this is on me, regardless of my situation, the plaintiff didn't deserve that, I will owe them what they require, etc..." I WILL LOSE MY MIND the day someone actually is accountable on screen like that
@@pato6933 I've seen a few cases where the defendant goes "Yes I agree and I WANT to pay them the money" and I wonder why they are there? Sometimes it does seem like a communication breakdown "They moved I didnt have their address etc... "
I have never understood, nor will I ever, how some people take their sweet time to pay someone for their work. Then you have to "beg" for money that its rightfully yours.
It's a very common scenario. To be honest, I didn't pay for some work because I never got billed for it. I waited and waited but no bill came so I kept quiet, hoping my creditors had forgotten. Anyway they finally got in touch, clearly not happy that I hadn't paid. I told them why and they discovered I had indeed fallen through a crack in their system. I promptly paid and all was well. At the time I was in financial hardship and, having paid lots of money for my own mistakes, felt that my conscience could handle allowing someone else to go through the same. It all worked out well amiably, even as I told them what I've just told you.
They are hoping that if they hold out long enough and act difficult, the person will just cut their losses and stop asking them for it. I’ve seen it happen before, where the person who performed the service eventually just moves on because it’s not worth the ongoing hassle. Sad that people take advantage of others like that.
Happened to me. As a “starving” artist I painted an entire restaurant for Christmas and it took months to get payment. Dicked around a lot. It sucks because you need this money for certain things and it’s almost like they know that and hold it just to torture you.
The “ripple effect” had nothing to do with it, 1. He has another job (so he has the money to pay him, and he lied about retiring), 2. If he didn’t have the money, the last job owed him LESS than he owed the Plaintiff. Some money should’ve already been paid and, 3. The Plaintiff didn’t pay bc he didn’t want to. Period. His final remarks prove that.
Can't imagine living with myself and not paying my guys. Sometimes they even say they'll do something for free and I'll always say no. You're getting paid for the time you work.
After all this, it comes out that HE AGREED to pay him the exact amount the Plaintiff requested. So, at some point he did tell the Plaintiff he owed the amount in question. He just refused to pay it.
Not quite, they had a recess, grant by JJ to go sort out how much was owed. They returned to court (the same day) to confirm the amount owed. Defendant says he agreed to that amount (which happened during the break).
Mr. Hicks is so calm, relaxed, and handsome too! He also seems like he came prepared. Very interesting case and I learned a lot about referees. JJ is one of the best judges on TV with some of the best cases ever. I'm glad Mr. Hicks won. He definitely deserved it. He also goes by Bsolid The Poet. He has excellent poetry, mugs, and wall art. And he has amazing body art photos, who knew! lol
Why did he say he didn’t have records and now he’s got PayPal???

He was saying he didn’t have game by game records I believe. He did say he had records of payments though. Sometimes one payment may include multiple games, so it takes some reconciliation to determine how those payments compare to the total games refereed.
I loved how JJ's Jewishness got stronger during this Court Case. It was way cute. Nice amenable case. Defendant is shady and a liar but it came out right in the end regardless of defendant b.s.
This was a very interesting case. I'm glad the judge pointed out how bad the ripple effect is when it comes to finances. This is just one story of many.

i dont think the defendent never got paid from the organization...i think it was prob less then he thought it would be and he was being a wise guy cheap skate about it..hes got a look like he likes to eat at high end places and then tell them he doesnt have money tough luck..
If the plaintiff was paid fair and square, he wouldn't waste his time taking the defendant to court, not knowing the defendant didn't have proof of these payments.
6075 owed.... Defendant can prove he paid 4415... That's £1660 to be paid... How did they go back and work out £3445 needing owing... That's double 😂 looks like they somehow agreed between them to get more money from jj
Defendant is giving an Ian McShane vibe. JJ was low key flirting with him. In the end she even shifted the blame to the organisation not paying the defendant on time.
I did give my queen that went by the name paget brewster 14% of my gum company howeva i want to make that 30% and i give my otha queen that went by the name Taylor from meet me 55% of my Car company .
The guy performed a service and didn’t get paid for his work. He was right to sue. How was that ridiculous? Would you just accept not being paid for a job you did?
That is a LOT of money. The defendant KNEW he owed it.
The defendant still claiming he didn't owe the plaintiff anything after they agreed on an amount is crazy to me. 😂😂😂😂
And lost a friend because of that.

0:58 He held that paper up like it was the Excalibur that he just removed from its stone 😂
You could almost hear the legendary "swoosh" as he held them up😂.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😅😅😅
🤣🤣🤣
Grown ass Defendant at the end still saying he didn't owe any money. What a shame.
He seems to think that only his troubles matter. Because he was not paid, that he doesn’t have to pay others.
The plaintiff was such a standup guy with a great attitude. It’s sad the defendant try to stiff him.

Smmfh, exactly... 💯
And then they make you feel like you're doing something wrong by asking for it.

The defendant KNEW he owed him money, he just wanted the show to pay for it! Especially when he said “I’m glad it’s over with” at the end.
Plaintiff is a good dude you can just tell by his demeanor. Glad he got paid.
That was a nice case, jj makes you laugh all the time.
Didn't think this case would go the extra inning.
I see what you did there ;)
Good one!

The defendant is really not a nice man and arrogant.
And he tried to steal money from the plaintiff, Judge Judy was much too kind with him, a pity 😊

At $40 per game that’s a hell of a lot of games 😂
She was so calmed and understanding.
Its truly was a slam dunk for the plaintiff
Nice one 😂😂
Well done, Judge Judy!

Ugh I can’t stand the defendant
86 unpaid games is a little more than an oops I forgot
Mark is a thief. Just look at

The defendant is a classless jerk 😡

I was a soccer, football, and rugby referee and I never got paid by the assignor. It was always the host that paid.

That's the nicest JJ has ever been to someone who didn't pay another person. I think she was bedazzled by his flirting with her.

When she reviews the PayPal sheets 4415 is the total but payments received are 2,630. 6075 - 2630 = 3445
@kevindenoncourtcabrera3445 yeah the plaintiffs own total said 2,630 paid so far but guy had 4,415 of proof he's already paid
@@kevindenoncourtcabrera3445 yeah that was what the plaintiff claimed he had received but the guy literally had 4,415 proof with him
@MissGirlGamer12 Fair. So why did defendant agree on Plantiffs figure? He could have said 1660. Prob cause show pays.
@@kevindenoncourtcabrera3445 yeah that's what's I'm thinking 😂
Defendant is untrustworthy - Those people are always scheming
Happy Holidays from the Frame family.

This could have been a good scam honestly. They are/were friends afterall and the end figure I felt was a little high
🤔 another commenter pointed out that the end figure didn’t make sense. Hmmm ya never know… damn
The ridiculous stuff that goes to court in the US.
Everybody's a victim
The guy performed a service and didn’t get paid for his work. He was right to sue. How was that ridiculous? Would you just accept not being paid for a job you did?
Yeah, I bet no one is ridiculous in your country.
Yet here you are.
first time Im this early after all this time :P
the defendant is so annoying
JJ makes millions and millions per episode, and has such an entitled attitude. She can be difficult to watch.
No nonsense attitude.
Millions and millions per episode? Exaggerate much?😉
@ your right, on average she make $900,000 per day. I stand corrected.
But yet you still watch😊
@@ArtificialExperience on average $33k per episode, $900k per week
If you know you're guilty, JJ is the place to be so you don't have to pay when the defendant wins.
