I can think of a use for the 3 note "trumpet" thing. All I would need are some batteries and a hated acquaintance with a young child. I imagine the unwrapping conversation to go something like : 'Wow, look what uncle Graham has bought you for xmas - I must remember to "thank" him when I next see him.' So, this would work best as a distance gift, with the ideal recipient separated from me by at least one ocean and a complicated path for me to receive their gratitude.
I am a trumpet player in the US, and someone found one of those "trumpet toys" for my 2 year old son. He loves to get it out when I play my trumpet, and just sings into the trumpet. We took the batteries out a long time ago, since it is super annoying, and he prefers to make his own music anyway.
@@lonnyyoung4285usb condensers don’t normally require phantom power. I have one of those BM-800s, although I have’s used it in a while, and don’t remember if it needs it or not. I just had a thought that possibly both the computer adapter and the sound card could very well have phantom power.
You were a huge inspiration for me during high school band, now that those days are past and looking back, I miss them, glad to see you post every here and now, do what makes you happy Trent
This is going to either be hilarious or horrible... I kinda like the sound of that microphone. Are you using any digital filtering or anything on it? 6:45 -- "Feast of bells" 8:48 -- 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 9:06 -- I saw that little smirk. You knew exactly what was happening, didn't you? 😜 15:00 -- "At the risk of perhaps being too overwhelmed by excitement..." he said calmly.
Nice to hear Christmas being placed in the proper season (for this part of the world)! The difference in sound, when you plugged in the Temu mike, was interesting. It sounded quite okay, at least for speech. One wonders how it would perform for singing?
I have a slightly better toy trumpet whose samples were recorded by a semi-pro friend of mine. Quite fun. You can discover key combinations, not the usuals, that give you seven of the eight C major notes.
@@mr.head09 If you're talking about the song played at approx 5:43, that is not "Mummy finger", which, as a parent, I am depressingly well acquainted with.
PSA: Temu is horrible, it exploits a lot of people, it's business model hurts the environment, and it just generally sucks Be sure to never buy from them

Your reaction to Baby Shark is immaculate; it sounds like a dad who’s heard that song to death 😂
I've been seeing Temu ads for actual "professional" instruments. I've seen trumpets, flugelhorns, and clarinets. Very intriguing
It’s all crap.
The Return of the King

My recently turned 5-year old daughter absolutely loves you, Trent! So do my dogs, tertirally, so does the solvently adult watching these videos
As soon as I saw that XLR cable I was skeptical about quality but the mic doesn't sound too bad, especially with that awesome card mixer lol!
Not that I have bought a condenser mic in a long time, but they required phantom power. I guess that one doesn't. Time to get with the times I guess.
