Thanks for this video Piero. What model of hard drive have you found most secure/reliable for your backups? And how has the cloud been working for you for redundancy? I'm hesitant to trust the cloud, but it would be nice to save money and physical space.
I like yellow color, that G-Drive Armorlock SSD looks really beautiful, it has hardware encryption and rugged design, if I need a storage drive for personal life and work, is it make sense to get it or better something cheaper and smaller becusse that Armorlock seem big when SSD can be a lot smaller and G-Drive has smaller rugged SSD too
The challenge is what if you need to hold onto the large files work of you mord than a few years? It means you would run out of cloud space unless you upgrade?
Good question! Many options.. It would probably be best to get a big Raid like 40 GB or so (depending on how much data you generate per year). Either a Raid 5 which would be its own backup or configure it as JBOD and keep it connected to the computer in order to back it up to a cloud service like Backblaze.
Was verlangst du durchschnittlich für das Filemanaging? Also könntest du eine Richtung angeben? 20€, 50€ oder eher 100€? Mich würde das sehr interessieren, nicht das ich selbst am Ende viel zu viel dafür verlange.
very efficient but a pity to lose all the images after 4 years. I have often been asked for archives dating back 20 years and it is good to keep them. Another thing, with time the price of hard drives and their performance evolve, I'm not sure that in 4 years, I would reuse the same hard drive, there will be better and cheaper. 4 years ago hard disks were very different from current ones Good working, but I would keep the 2 hard drives "2021" (at least 1) in a cupboard
Man. This is the exact video I’ve been looking for since like 5 years ago! Thanks for sharing!
made my day :D so glad it was useful to you, exactly why I've made it!
Wow dude! Awesome breakdown of a topic that is not that covered! You're amaizing, keep up the good quality work!! ⚡⚡
thanks so much man! :))

Sick workflow! 🦔🥳

Can you make a video on davinci resolve
what would you be interested in most?
@@pierogiannist yeaa what's up
In davinci first and foremost make a video on your style of colour grading and node structure
'Dont have to buy disks anymore'... Thats what I thought when I was spending $350 for a 1.5 TB drive, and I have ten of them LOL.
Here because I’m tired of big TH-camrs pushing backsups because they are sponsored or got free product… I’ve now lost two drives - LaCie and WD. 🥴
no sponsors here, ha. working well so far.
@@pierogiannist this topic definitely isn’t thrilling but as we grow as a creators I need to come up with a better system!
what a hottie!
😂😍
