the m shape thing really helped me. ive been playing for just over a year and my buzzing/playing always sounded kind of off but i didnt know why. i found this and tried that m shape with my lips on my mouthpiece and it felt revolutionary. thank you so much lol

Wow. I remember back then how trumpet was so difficult for me. But it’s not like I was actually learning it. I was just borrowing my best friend’s instrument. However I have some questions. Trumpet is related to what other brass instrument (like violin and viola are similar)? Also, if we can blow into a trumpet and make that sound, does that mean we can develop the sound on the rest of brass instruments? What’s the difference between this trumpet and a rotary trumpet besides its structure?

I appreciate the sincerity in wanting to provide educational resources. If most beginner classes were to do this, the sound quality would not be that good. Also, tension builds up when beginners learn to produce a tone this way.

Use the word “dim” instead of em and then having to set your corners. “Dim” gets the embouchure set in one step.
