Stop motion with living actors feels like something that should have existed for a while but I can't recall anybody doing it. (Maybe Phineas and Ferb once but not to this extent)
There are several videos from various authors where a living actor is laid on the ground and used as a puppet in a stopmotion movie. And anyway, stopmotion is the transformation of inanimate objects into animate ones so the idea is kinda pointless.
The distinctly choppy "animation" style combined with real living people makes these videos really entertaining! As far as I can tell it's a completely original style, which is a nigh-impossible online.

Ngl, you guys did a surprisingly good job with your costumes. In most situations you're gonna see people doing a cheap effort at recreating the mercenaries' outfits.

These are all so beautiful and creative it really warms my heart to see so much love and care put into something so creative. TF2 and it’s gmod animations have had such a uncannily accurate/hyper real semblance to human life and seeing that imitated in real life has got to be some sort of mystical postmodern art.
I was kinda scared it would blow the whole feel out when the woman medic showed up but the facial expressions were spot-on. Plus that soldier oh no! That was gold!
It took some people a week to realize this was filmed in a convention. It's Been so long since we've seen one that we don't even recognize one when it pops up. This is a brilliant video btw
