- Nestled amongst the rolling Shropshire Hills and just a few miles from the Welsh border, the little town of Shrewsbury is a totally gorgeous place to visit.
It's the kind of place that's perfect for a day trip or weekend break, especially with all the best things to do in Shrewsbury dotted all across the town.
Of course on this flash trip, we haven't visited all places, but for sure we've enjoyed the time spent there while walking, eating and staying in pubs.
Town centre is looking nice with a lot of places to be visited, great pubs there and you can also have a walk along the Severn river admiring the area.
Therefore, we can strongly recommend the area for being visited!

That girl had an amazing Voice
Indeed, that girl had an amazing voice! Really like her :)
shrewsbury is lovely.
We like the town as well. Hope soon we'll film there again.
❤ Shrewsbury
I’m going to live in Shrewsbury in 3 days, this video helped me a lot about the city, lovely landscape, Amazing video
It’s not a city sorry
its town born and bred in shrewsbury
Go to The Quarry - it's in a great big grass park, enclosed in a loop of the river with a lovely pedestrian bridge across the river to a great little pub. This vid doesn't even touch the real pleasures of the town.
Read about the Cathedral and the ancient Shrewsbury School. Many battles were fought over this land. Fascinating history to read and plan you journey. Not a god idea to try to park a car near the centre of the town.
It's a town mate.
Is it good for international students in terms of both education and jobs? I have applied for Masters in University center Shrewsbury. Is it good campus of Chester uni
My Home Town I love my town and it is a English Town
Yeah, Shrewsbury was indeed a nice place to visit. We hope we'll film once again there soon.
The Crown has changed names now, the terrace is a nice place to have a beer on a warm night :)
I live here. I’ve never witnessed that singer. She was amazing so I hope I have the chance to watch her sing.
Indeed, she was amazing. Rarely we can see people singing opera on streets.
Very good video, keep up the good work guys!
Thanks Griff! We will! By the way, you're always welcomed to join future videos if you want :)
9:22 Hobbs, that used to be McDonalds, it was one of the oldest premises to house one of their restaurants before they closed it.
im from shrewsbury, good video our town is really nice
We're glad you enjoyed it! Shrewsbury indeed is a really nice town, recommended also by us for being visited.
Hi. I have applied for Masters in University center Shrewsbury. Is it good for international students in terms of both education and jobs?
Nice ❤
Thanks 🔥
That's McDonald's Meole Brace. Not Battlefield Rd. Thanks for the vid. Enjoyed it.
Ok, noted. Thanks for paying attention and of course for watching the video.
I’m from the next town over but all my extended family are from there I’m there regularly. Got a season ticket for the football team too! I actually used to work at the brooklands year ago under previous management
Good to know that we have fans also from there 😁 thanks for watching and stay tuned for more future videos. Cheers!
You have a hell of a walk to get to McDonald's we don't have one in the town centre 😂
Walking is an important part of travelling. So, finding a McDonald's there was quite a challenge :)
Bro I was trying to find myself the whole time lol
Bro, I'm glad you've watched the video! Thank you very much and cheers 🍻
7:30 this is what we want
I believe you :)
I call it shoesbrie, most locals do as well
Ah ok, is it a tradition for locals to do that
I'll keep this in mind for next time we'll visit the town. By the way, can you recommend other interesing areas from there for being visited?
@@PopTheGamer209 no idea if I’m honest, most say it with a silent R
@@RoadForksOffbeat cardingmill valley in church stretton, or ludlow
Posh people call it shoesbrie . Everyone else shroowsbury .
Lived there for a while it would be OK for a short break. The people are a tad weird.... 😅
Cool! Good to know :)
Tad werid? Could say you was same?
Update, I’m going to leave Birmingham for Shrewsbury today, i will update this comment when I get there
I can't wait to see what you've filmed there! Cheers!
Welcome! Hope you're settling in ok!
@@T0m0thy it’s good, I love the bridge and the town Centre
Crazy that you came to Shrewsbury just for the McDonalds in Meole Brace. Don’t you have McDonalds in Birmingham? 😂
Well the clue is the name „off beat” but didnt realise McDonald’s was so off-beat, maps lied to us, found some nice pubs along the way though 😂😂😂
Mac RATS in Birmingham
German or Dutch which are you 🤔
I'm actually Romanian, leaving in B'ham for almost 5 years :) Either way, thanks for watching and for the feedback.
it's over.
What do you mean when you say "it's over"?
@RoadForksOffbeat meaning the place is a dump and so is half the country!
If you want to see littering in the town come out at four o'clock in the mornings of Friday Saturday and Sunday you will see all the litter you would like to see it's a bloody disgrace
Good to know :) Realistically we don't actually want to film littering as the video will be kind of depressing..
Think you was more bothered about filming that girl in the dress than showing shrewsbury 😅
Well, we've been distracted :) However, there's plenty on places from Shrewsbury, shown in this video.
@RoadForksOffbeat was only banter mate no offence taken 👍
Lived in Shrewsbury over fifty years, it’s now a dump and crime ridden.
I like your optimism :)
Not true.
Everywhere is now since mass immigration
Doesn’t look a dump though to be fair.
Disgraceful comment
Darwin went to school in that building.
Cool! I didn't know that.
@@RoadForksOffbeat there is so much history in Shrewsbury that not even the locals could remember it all. It was my home for 24 years, lovely town.
its not a city and not so nice at night a bit like the wild west on friday saturday night
Yep, we've noticed that's not a city after a couple of feedbacks :) Hmm.. If you're saying that the town is a "wild west" Friday and Saturday Night, we may need to come back filming there, this time, on nights :) Of course, when we'll get a better camera..
