A typical microwave operates at 2000 to 4000 volts. This high voltage is deadly!!! Microwaves have the voltage and current to kill! The capacitor can remain charged for days. Most volt meters can not handle voltages over 1000 volts. So, any charge remaining in the capacitor could destroy your volt meter. Most manufacturers add resistor to bleed off the charge on the capacitor. If the resistor is bad or not installed, you could be dead toast. Microwave repairs should not be done by amachures.

Sir one thing you did wrong, filament of magnetron should not be open that should show 2 to 4 ohms but in your case magnetron showing open or high resistance that means magnetron is bad that needs to change.
