Thought i’d try my luck n go straight to exup ,won’t go past 4000 rps n sluggish,i’m fairly mechanically inclined ,it seems i take it apart n could just lube it easy ?i have bike hidden, gotta avoid problem solving and process of quick elimination first ,it copped some moisture at one stage i’m sure ,but idles fine apart from hesitation and low revs. Any hot tips for me please Champion?

It does sound likely that it's an Exup issue.
As you say, it should be just a case of lubricant ( check, but I think you will need a copper based, high temp grease, get pretty damn hot down there, as you can imagine)
The potential banana skin, is getting the bolts out of the casing and then the Allen headed bolts out of the pipe, before you can remove the valve.
Use heat, use an impact drive if you must, use a penetrative spray such as WD40 penetration fluid. Spray way in advance, a week , then days upto tackling.Ypu do Not want to lose the heads on the bolts, so patience is absolutely key with this one.
Film it, if you can it will help so many other's too. Goodluck !!!!!

Cables are way too slack & valve needs resetting.

Can you elaborate for others please and give full details?
I guess you have had plenty of experience of the ExUp valve system, certainly enough to enlighten us all on where we maybe going wrong.
If you can give some more feedback that will be excellent. Thanks.
