I have that same engine...so far I have 300 miles on it, 200 more to go on "break in"...I have only took it up to around 4000 rpm's, and it is a torque monster!
stock 4l60 in her? i noticed you said you sold it but im just trying to figure out all ill need, i really wanna go this route in my 94 z71 and just am trying to learn everything i can about the swap.
I am going to instal one in a 95 chevy silverado 2wd tdi but will i have to do a commputer delete or change wiring harnes it my first swap its getting here next week?
Hey man how did u route the serpentine belt with that being a standard flow water pump and the old engine being a reverse flow water pump just curious I got a 1990 c1500 that im puting this same engine in and I'm wondering if I need to buy a complete serpentine setup or if I can just route the belt differently
@@yamahaguy1732 yeah it does ! and I actually placed my order for the 383 yesterday! 30 to 45 day build time . I'm thinking of getting the blackwidow neighborhaters
@@PeachCoastLowrider venom 250s are nice for a cruiser if you don’t want it to be to loud they are easy to muffle down with a little pipe after the mufflers they have a decent noise level if you just dump them tho
@@yamahaguy1732 don't u have the BP 350 ? maybe I'm getting u confused with someone else on here . I know I've seen u comment on tbe yellow truck with the BP 350. I got the fully dressed 383 but not the one with all the pulleys and stuff. I don't have AC yet . it's going In my 63 impala .
Thinking about one of these for my 1993. The TBI 350 started leaking at the head gasket around cylinder number 2 just recently. What transmission are you running? Any issues with install?
@@michaelgiorsetti9385I have a 700r4 with my Tbi 350 stock I think I’m going back to the 4l60 after the swap my oil pressure went down and gotta high rpm. I can stick with the 700r4 and install this 383 beast !

routed normal for even with the a/c. bought a ac delco 252-719 water pump for 89 gmc 350 ran just fine.
What kind of headers are you running? Got a 1990 as well but putting the 427 LS in it.
What headers do you have on?

Exhaust Lift: .471 in.
Intake Duration: 202 degrees
Exhaust Duration: 212 degrees
Lobe Separation: 115 degrees

He’s probably running a 700r4 I have a 91 suburban with that transmission and I’m doing swap with that exact engine
