Welcome Disc Golf fans to the final round of the PDGA Pro Disc Golf World Championships! You will notice a difference in the sound of our commentary audio because we recorded in front of a live studio audience for the first time ever! Think live podcast, but for disc golf coverage. We welcome your feedback regarding this first attempt at an event like this. As always, thank you for watching and we hope you enjoy.
I think it's be great to get video of the commentators during the live coverage to be similar to the previous rounds, and if possible, a separate mic that has less echo. The video isn't as needed but the audio quality hurts a bit, especially with it being the finals of worlds compared to the earlier rounds.
What is the intention of doing it live? I think in theory this sounds great, but there were no shots of the commentators and none of the crowd. Beyond some chuckles there was very little crowd reaction / interaction. I’m assuming everyone in the crowd was well aware of the results and that seemed to take away from some of the reactions you’d get from a true live event. I almost think the format would work better if it was a simulcast and in partnership with DGN, similar to Manning during MNF. I know that’s difficult since the guys may be playing their rounds, but overall this didn’t feel much different than your regular shows except with a slight hit to the quality. Still appreciate you all trying new things and brining more to fans. Would have been cool to do a Q&A after since you had a crowd and allow the live experience to feel more interactive that way.
If you ever do this again I’d like to hear the live audience way more. Mic them too. Almost level with the commentary like a sitcom. That way we can all get the live experience. It sounds like there were only ten people there and they were all sitting in the very back.
Can you have Nate Jerm and Paul visible during coverage in the corner of the screen? At least at certain times even if it’s just during the hole breakdowns?

@@JustinFernDesign I can't see how Jomez benefits from that. Or how the fans do - Gatekeeper is doing well, but they aren't on the same production level as Jomez.
I haven't seen frisbee golf in years, and randomly TH-cam showed me the 2019 world championships tonight, so then I watched the 2021 championships and out of the blue the front 9 of the 2022 was posted about 5 minutes after I watched the 2021. Now I have stayed up late to watch the back 9, I guess it is more exciting than I gave it credit for. If the finish is anywhere near the 2021 with that 250 foot shot to tie on the 18th it will be worth staying up for.
Honestly though, what Paul said about Ken was spot on. There's something special having the games past greats present and engaged. Would love to see Ken on the sidelines as the sport grows.

Yikes, the tension on Hole 16 for the playoff was palpable, even my knees were weak, arms sweaty. All credit to Paul, an incredible performance by Aaron & some unbelievably hard work from the entire Jomez crew. Thank you to everyone involved, amazing week of disc golf.
Exactly, great correction. Commentary itself was perfect as always, but very happy about the audio fix (much needed). Gotta love Worlds, always somethin crazy goin on
McBeth is the GOAT! Six titles is incredible! He's the reason that I love the game now. Classy guy too. That 80 foot put on 17th hole was the game changer. 🏆
The class and sportsmanship of all these competitors is why I fell in love with disc golf. Also Jomez's outstanding coverage showcasing the best the sport has to offer. Keep your held held high Aaron. That was an incredible performance to be proud of.

Absolutely this. It is nice to see a lot more positivity on this 9 compared to the front. Jomez still delivered a great video whike trying something new for the community. There are some issues. But it is still solid coverage. And it seems like the boys had a great time with the live commentary. It makes me happy.

Two years later I found myself at the final round of worlds cheering on not only these incredible players I've grown to admire and respect, but also the production teams that have grown the sport with their own talents! Congratulations Nate for playing like you do. Awesome coverage and supreme commentary. Nice commentary. Congratulations to PAUL FOR OVERCOMING the Shot last year. Incredible strength and a great ambassador to the sport!’
Have only been in the sport for about 2 years, but I would say McBeth is goated over Kenny. The competition in the field today is a lot more adversity than Kenny had to go through. McBeth has fought through a lot more competition in his day (I mean anyone could win these days if they just turn their game on) so in my mind he is the all time goat.

Man the approach save on 17 by Paul, and then the 70 foot putt, I just can't imagine how fast his heart was beating. After last years heartbreak I really wanted this for Paul. Congrats to him and congrats to Aaron G for showing everyone that his skill is up there with the best. I see some big tourney wins in his future.

I wish I could be as excited about anything as Matty-O gets about making putts. Love watching him play. Congrats to Paul. What focus and perseverance. He is the GOAT imo. Such an incredible stretch and he digs in unlike anybody else when it counts. It’s incredible.
Thank you JomezPro I appreciate the closed caption on and I enjoy it watch your JonmezPro to them. I really enjoy what disc they throw it makes me feel like I am part of James Bond 007 disc golf guy.
JomezPro is the only broadcast of a sport that I watch (I watch all sports) that my wife doesn’t yell at me to turn it down. Kudos to y’all for calling the most chill sport in a most chill way.
It's amazing to me how much of a mental game this sport can be. You see people make putts from outside circle all the time but find OB and their putting rate drops. You see someone who seemed to struggle on the putting green the entire tournament make a huge bomb of a 80 footer in the most important moment and someone miss the island green he'd make otherwise just because of the pressure. I am truly inspired by Paul's mental toughness! Maybe without Conrad's steal last time he wouldn't have won it this year. Sad for Aaron to come short just like that but he should be really proud of himself. Of course the technical aspect is very very important. It's just crazy to me how mentally tough Paul is. While watching Paul play his first round I didn't have much expectations for him but at Jomez they said something like that even the guys who were shooting -12 or so won't have their streak goin' forever. It's how they come back after a bad shot. That's exactly what happened to Paul. He found a way to overcome bad streaks and adopt. Also I am super happy for Clemons to have played so well! Hats off to him!
It is good that Gossage probably only lost by 1 shot in the competition, but gained so much on every other front. It was a great show of skills, and pushed Paul to make some amazing shots. I thought it was over when Paul tied it, but Aaron helped make this a great final 9.
The music at the end just needs need to be the standard trademark for all disc golf broadcasting. Great job to everyone for wonderful post coverage through all of worlds and of course congratulations to Paul Macbet!
Félicitations from FRANCE à Paul McBeth, Aaron Gossage et tous les autres ! Paul McBeth losed last year when he didn't play the last Hole and after the wonderful James Conrad's Hold-up ! This year was for him and his emotion was real ! BRAVO Paul McBeth ! Thanks to JomezPro and TH-cam
Paul's putt on 17 is going to be remembered for a long time I think, same as James Conrad in 2021. It won't get the same hype because it wasn't on 18 and wasn't as far away from the pin, but it was every bit as clutch as the Holy Shot in my opinion. Just looking at Paul's reaction to making that putt sent chills through me. Amazing performance from both him and Aaron Gossage.
It should be even more clutch, as I don’t think Conrad was saying I have to make this. Where McBeth was like I have to make this. Conrad was I have to throw this good enough and give it the best chance I can. As with any long throw in there is a bit of luck as a sudden gust or lack of wind is something you can’t control. Where mostly with long puts it skill and clutch gene ( controlling the pressure).
nobody talking about our boy Nate sexton who isn't even a huge distance guy, delivers coverages and still playing at elite-level shooting -35 finding a spot from the top 10 (again) in the world championships. respect.
Great job to the Jomez team pulling off a live event and providing great coverage. At this point I'll assume Uli had to do his commentary for the front 9 from the bathroom because he chose to eat a big bowl of chili on a hot day, which never ends well.
Said it on a previous video and again feel the need to mention it again. Love the intense music in the intro and between holes. Yet again another extraordinary worlds to watch!
I can't even. What a ridiculous follow up to last year!! What a hype tournament!! Paul is the definition of a champion, that putt on 17 holy crap. Gossage though, learned his name this week and I might have a new favorite player! For the life of me I could not decide who I wanted to win more. 6x hype is hard to beat though, LFG PAUL!!! Absolutely inspiring. Please, please put your name on a blue z nuke Aaron! I need it!!!! Looks like it's time to start throwing Discraft!
I can’t imagine that level of pressure. I put it in my head that there was no way this worlds could be more exciting than the last but that was awesome. Thanks to everyone who puts in the work to make such an incredible production. ❤️
Man... McBeth is the best to ever do it... Every sport has a Jordan, or a Brady. McBeth is Jordan to disc golf. Aaron Gossage played amazing all week. Hopefully he can take the opportunity to learn from his final round. Seemed to me that he played very conservative in the final round, and waited to long to turn it back on. What a great tournament this year!
McBeth is just the best when it comes to clutch, Congratulations! . . . But Aaron Gossage was a real talent this weekend and this will help him tremendously going foreword. Thank you Jomez , BigSexyBerri and everyone involved. Great work as always.
It’s awesome to see a new approach to the coverage with the live format- it definitely adds something special. I’m a fan of it since it’s changed up what can become a repetitive format. An improvement could be to have some cutaways to the live crowd and the booth so we could see the fan reactions. Great work dudes!
This is a worlds for the ages. McBeth had to battle injuries the entire time to get his redemption. The 6x champ has proven to us he simply just wants it more. Climo and McBeth are uncontested GOATS of their eras, and I don't see McBeth leaving anytime soon. To all the people that kept saying McBeth is washed... You're gonna have to keep waiting on that one lol. In the history of this sport he will be one of, if not the greatest, to ever touch a disc. Put some respect on the man's name.
You can tell Aaron really put work into this, I was hoping he'd pull it out. Serious potential, I think now that he sees what he can accomplish we'll be seeing more of him. It'd be nice to hear more from the people in 2nd and 3rd place, That's a huge accomplishment and these people shouldn't be overshadowed too much by the winner.
Yet another incredible and close finish for World's. You couldn't script this shit any better. I will never get tired of seeing Paul win. In my opinion he's the goat even with less titles. Not to take away anything from Climo.
Great coverage, good job fixing most of the audio issues from the front 9. I'm sure future live recordings will be the same excellent quality we see from JomezPro all year.
Way to recover and dial in that audio! On a positive note, you know what not to do next year regarding the audio. If that's the only real issue you ran into, I'd say it's a success! Thanks Jomez Team!

I wish I could be as excited about anything as Matty-O gets about making putts. Love watching him play. Congrats to Paul. What focus and perseverance. He is the GOAT imo. Such an incredible stretch and he digs in unlike anybody else when it counts. It’s incredible.
You said it best, some people just have that clutch gene and McBeth is definitely one of those people. Guy is completely amazing.
I'm not crying! You're crying! Amazing coverage as always
The coverage of the final round was awesome!
Fantastic tournament. Shout out to Nate Sexton for another top 10 finish this year.
Off topic but I really miss seeing Kevin Jones on lead coverage. Having an off year but hope he has a better year next year. He’s awesome to watch
Yea cool story now back to Mcbeast
I'm very happy that Paul was able to pull everything together to take the win here.
Thank you JomezPro I appreciate the closed caption on and I enjoy it watch your JonmezPro to them. I really enjoy what disc they throw it makes me feel like I am part of James Bond 007 disc golf guy.
Paul is why I love disk golf. I've never cheered more for any other sport then what I just did for Paul. So amazing congrats to him!
JomezPro is the only broadcast of a sport that I watch (I watch all sports) that my wife doesn’t yell at me to turn it down. Kudos to y’all for calling the most chill sport in a most chill way.
Wow what a tournament!!! I’m so happy for McBeth!!! Gossamer played a phenomenal tournament! Thank you Jomez for the coverage! Keep ‘em coming!
Hole 18 Uli's comment "I can't feel my feet" is all time Jomez comedy gold!
next t-shirt graphic for sure
Shoutout to my local Aaron Gossage for putting grand junction on the map 🤟🏼
It is good that Gossage probably only lost by 1 shot in the competition, but gained so much on every other front. It was a great show of skills, and pushed Paul to make some amazing shots. I thought it was over when Paul tied it, but Aaron helped make this a great final 9.
Seems like a great kid.
When you have everything and still cry when you win is amazing. Good on you paul great round Aaron good production love it
Said it on a previous video and again feel the need to mention it again. Love the intense music in the intro and between holes. Yet again another extraordinary worlds to watch!
Wow, I'm amazed at Paul's perserverence and grit. He makes me want to try harder.
Thank you guys for always trying new things, and pushing progress forward in disc golf media!
Best disc golf coverage of all time, no contest. This whole tournament has been absolutely phenomenal from Jomez.
Amazing tournament and great coverage. Came down to a real nail biter. Another epic world's event.
Thank You JomezPro.. You guys have raised the bar on disc golf Coverage, period
This was MacBeths most impressive win. With all those injuries going on he proved he's still the most clutch disc golf player on the field, no debate.
Loved the extra use of high drone footage, nice work Jomez team. More of the same please :)
Loved the shots of the camera crew at the end! Thanks for capturing disc golf at its best! And those commentators, they're the best in the biz 🤘
Great coverage and commentary as always guys! Great tourney! Lot of action. Congrats to the champ!
Paul’s putt on 17... Goosebumps.
It’s awesome to see a new approach to the coverage with the live format- it definitely adds something special. I’m a fan of it since it’s changed up what can become a repetitive format. An improvement could be to have some cutaways to the live crowd and the booth so we could see the fan reactions. Great work dudes!
Man Paul is just amazing. Congrats, well deserved.
I always laugh at the people saying that. I keep looking for their name on the card like they would even qualify as pro...
Big audio improvement vs the front 9. Great work guys!!
I love this game, thank you Jomez, production is A+ as always
Kudos for fixing the audio on the back 9. Amazing coverage of an amazing tournament!
When Matty O is on it’s truly the best watch. Hopefully he’ll get this world championship one day soon. Much deserved.
I watched this live and I am enjoying the heck out of watching it again with Jomez.
Watch a clutch battle. Speechless.
You could hear Sexton tearing up at the end, thanking everyone.
Emotional. Incredible!
What a BATTLE!!! That was impressive all around. Way to go Paul!
Amazing tournament, even more amazing footage. Jomez keeps getting better and better. Way to go Paul! My favorite pro. But so impressed by Gossage.
