She has a rare talent -rare among classical singers- of blending feelings of the heart with swar & taal. Her voice is well-rounded & sophisticated enough to take on the lighter film songs very creditably, unlike most classical singers who give importance to only swar & taal, thinking nothing of their raw ill-groomed voices.

Excellent programmes, learning about Indian Classical singing, not much talk, just enough to explain key points about the raag, and a good deal of singing including references to some film songs. All I suggest is adding English sub titles. I am sure lots of non Indian people all over the world see this programme. We can learn and better appreciate classical singing.
