    I have been waiting for this feature since 1992, I have some painted artwork vertical image with 3D generated hand artwork with like a painted background. This should allow me to expand that background to panaramic or horizontally.

    When will this feature (generative fill) be available in a Photoshop update (not beta - which tends to disrupt my settings). We have been seeing this feature demonstrated for months now, without being able to update Photoshop (which is rather frustrating !)

    Thank you for this! Anyone have any issues when expanding? I expand my images, but the results are always hard edged and slightly darker. Am I missing something?

    • @TrevorDennis100
      @TrevorDennis100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      George, if you have not fixed your issue, raise a new thread in the Adobe Photoshop Ecosystem forum. Say what OS and Photoshop versions you are using, and paste a full res screen shot of your entire workspace to the thread showing the issue, and Layers panel.

    When I use Generative expand, I get lines between the original and the expanded sections. While this is easily removed the the remove tool, I would prefer not to do this. Do you have any advice?
    Thanks.

    Jesus, if you have a low res jpeg from an older camera and you wish to use PS Enhance, is it best to do this at the start of workflow, or should you edit and then Enhance? Thank you.

    • @PhotoshopTrainingChannel
      @PhotoshopTrainingChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on what you're doing. But generally speaking I would do it first to see how other adjustments will affect it

    • @alanm.6096
      @alanm.6096 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks - generally this is the only option when you’re preparing to have a small file size photo printed in larger sizes.

  • @rgarlinyc

    I've tried it out a few times now - I guess there's one flaw - or maybe I'm doing something wrong?
    For example, the video I'm trying to expand pans to the right for about 10 meters, then returns left. Here, only the first scene (while the camers remains still) has benn :Generatively Expanded", so the generated LHS and RHS stays the same all throughout and ignores any panning done... 🤷🏻‍♂

    • @rgarlinyc
      @rgarlinyc ปีที่แล้ว +1

      TWenty minutes later, after thinking some more...
      I guess I have to Gen-Expand EVERY TIME the frame background changes.

  • @franzhollywood

    It is still extremely hit and miss and not that useful for professional use. Great for personal stuff and in an emergency if you screwed something up but still just beta...played around with it quite a bit and real fun for personal projects but for work it is too unreliable and clunky and a lot of results can only used for smaller photos. ..and as a odd side note: God forbid you show any skin because you will be censored for the most bizarre reasons. Big brother is watching...lol.

    Dear JESUS RAMIREZ
    Videos cannot be expanded.
    It means that the background has a shift and also cannot be applied to buildings with straight lines.
    The example you gave about grass that is static and does not move. Doesn't exactly reflect the innovation.
    In my opinion, the function is only good for the image.
