You should do an edit to most of the big planes giving them actual cockpits, and then do an emergency landing video, and we can rate the survivability of the crash.
The first situation with the 2 Phamtoms is really unreal. We had a similar crash in Spain with 2 F-18's and they both exploded in flight. Only one pilot survided after ejecting. The other pilot, died in the moment of the crash. Some years after, we had another collision involving to more F-18's. Just a little touch and both aircraft became uncontrollable and badly damaged. Both pilots survived after ejecting.

@@marcusmullings69420 Okay, if your airplane loses engines on one side, you lose thrust on that side because the engines aren't producing any. However the other side is still producing thrust, and creates something called adverse yaw, where the plane is yawing, or moving to one side because of the uneven thrust. Thing about being in a boat and only rowing with one oar on one side, you're going to turn as you go forward. So typically, you would use rudder to help stabilize the craft, but as you get closer to landing or need you can kill thrust on the other side to make it easier to control. There was a situation where a plane lost thrust like this and the way the propeller came off it damaged the lines connecting the aircraft controls. The only way for them to manage turning, was with autopilot and using the uneven engine thrust.
@@marcusmullings69420 Yes, you will have 0 thrust, not saying you should cut it off the entire time that was poorly worded, but it gives you more control in a way if its extremely uneven, and it also as in the mentioned example allows you to "turn" the craft.
Just my saying (this is for fighter jets) If your tail got hit, and you're carrying missile, gas tank, drop them, the reason to drop them because not only to reduce the weight but to avoid explosion, we do know that gas tanks and missiles are high explosive right? So thats why most fighters (irl) drop gas and missiles when hit, its a very good option when hit (Ps. I'm not professional about this type of thing, its just came out of my mine 😅)
