Meryl is just naturally amazing in every performance
When she wiped her eye @ 1:19 I was like wow ... this isn't even acting...she is the person !!!
Just want to drop in some fun facts, The name Mary comes from her grandmother, mother, and her daughter. The name Louise comes from her mother’s best friend. You know that Meryl is taking this role very seriously when she makes it rather personal.
That Streep may have a future in acting. One to watch.
Haha. This was from a magazine or newspaper critic on one of her Broadway or off Broadway performances I believe?
@@charmedprince Are you asking if my comment was lifted from somewhere? No, it wasn’t. But it’s hardly an earth-shatteringly original joke, so I’m sure hundreds of people have said similar things.
The performances on this show are great, but Streep is on different planet entirely.
I love what she’s doing with this character. Very kind of creepy and ... awkward. She’s amazing.
I loved the last line of the episode, "So... who are we planning to kill?"
James Lundblad she is . She has the power to make you keep watching her ...
Mother of Shades, Breaker of Lies!
Ironic she says she is a 'good judge of character'. I wonder if she knew about her son's true nature.
I'm sure it will all come out. Either she is the cause or she knew but never wanted to admit it. Either way, I think part of her journey will be her having to confront the fact that he was an evil person and if he'd lived, he would've killed his wife
I wonder the same thing, and I am sure we will find it all out. Perhaps the father was abusive to Perry. In any case, once again, this actress, who I am lucky enough to have seen perform live, is giving us a character of tremendous depth. EVERY character she has given us for over 40 years, is fascinating. She is unparalleled.
Meryl is going to steal this show. The mocking remarks in such an indirect way 😂😂
I really hope Meryl and Laura Dern have some scenes together.
Probably a boring scene, because Meryl would say nice things to Laura because Laura is not 'little people'.
@@da96103 oh boy! did you see ep.5? their interaction was priceless! Renata met her match!
@@tanmin8268 ikr!
Renata: what did u just say??
Mary Louise: a mint tea...
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Meryl's acting is so subtle yet so damn powerful!
She made me uneasy in this scene and legitimately terrified me with the dinner scream. The way she bounces from one extreme to the other is astounding!
@@adam-ll1yf That damn dinner scene was just so goooodd. Meryl is one of thee best.
everyone talkin about meryl while i think reese’s reactions were hilarious lol
In 2 minutes, Meryl has done dozens of beautiful subtleties that makes-up the character. Genius!
Meryl is super direct in that scene, talent
Such a brilliantly acted scene by both of them. Witherspoon doing most of the acting with her eyes and its absolutely hysterical. And so vicious!
its amazing that the author wrote the novella keeping meryl streep in mind to play the mother in law and i am loving it!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think this was the best scene of this episode , the lines, the humor , the drama, the interaccion and acting was amazing !!!
I disagree. The scene where they're at the dinner table and Meryl wants to talk about her son but Nicole doesn't, and then Meryl encourages the family to scream to express their grief tops this one imo
what amazing about this scene is how oddly the wordings are. Like calling people short, call them a wanter, calling them small people. Like these are not very "common sense" situations. But Meryl delivers it in the most Meryl way possible.
3 Oscar Best Actress winners in the same scene, and show. Doesn’t get a much bigger powerhouse talent than this
Mary Louise rattled Madeline to the core. However, her defense subsequent to this clip reveals a lot about Madeline. Yikes
Once again Meryl dissapeared, everybody. That was pure Mary Louise.
The thing with Meryl is you know she's gonna steal it, but then she always brings little things, unexpected mannerisms to the table that make her performances memorable and nuanced right away. What a gift of a woman❤️ Awaiting that Emmy!
It's not even passive-aggressive at this point. She might as well have greeted her with a slap!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's such a joy to watch all these great actresses at the top of their game, acting in the same show, sharing scenes every week. And then there's Meryl, perfectly tuned, elevating everything to a whole new level.
Damm she is alway great in everything she does
OMG the tense, seething smile, the rehearsed pleasantness until the disgust bubbles over and she is COMPELLED to start fire shots and calling out the b.s..... The ACTING!!
She’s completely like different person like wtf . 😂 legend
Meryl was phenomenal as always. The whole cast is just perfect. One of my favourite series.
Acting masterclass from Streep and Witherspon!! What a great intro for Streep's character!! I'll never forget this
The SHADE is real!! Go Meryl!
“I find little people to be untrustworthy” 🤣🤣🤣 Me too Meryl, me too! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Meryl has become this character, it’s like she’s not Meryl anymore she IS Mary Louise. So good and can’t wait to see more of her this season
The god of acting, i would actually pay to watch her! Meryl streep is the best
Notwen 97 I have paid to watch her. Movie theatres charge to see movies.
The skills Meryl Streep has as an actor are just unbelievable she, Jodie Foster and Daniel Day Lewis are the only three actors who are great in everything
Mind blowing. She's my favourite actresss
This scene is so powerful someone needs to give Meryl an Oscar for her performance she really nailed it ☺️😍
The funniest part is later when Mary Louise meets Madeline in her office and points that she is wearing heels lmao
Lol I love that she just palms her off onto the other guy because she cbf dealing with her 🤣🤣🤣
Meryl is so good, so freaking good here (as always) that it scares me. This is no longer just acting... ❤️
It's not only acting, it's embodiment. It's disappearing and transforming.
best show ever!! and these 2... OMG so perfect
Meryl is doing incredibly so far. She's "THE" Meryl Streep, yet she already seems to be an entirely different person. And it seems to come naturally to her.
With just a turn of a phrase or a look-brilliant acting
I want Meryl and Zöey to shine this season.
Haha Meryl is just too good! Gosh, what a talent 👍🏻.
Meryl steals the show every time. I can’t wait to see her character unfold.
Meryl’s causal talk just suck you in while your goose bumps stand up. Chilling!
Hands down one of Meryl’s best performances. A role very few people can pull off.
how can she be this wonderful goosebumps
OMG so much of talent in single scene. Meryl Streep what can we say.... Hands down
Okay first I was just casually happy that Meryl joined the cast but now, after the first episode HOLY SHIT somewhere there her name is being engraved on that Emmy award y'all
Girl elle woods is shooketh
Three Oscar winners~I also love her role in Web Therapy with Lisa Kudrow.
She sticks that knife into each of their hurts and twists it.. that venom she spews out. Brilliant performance
She is the BEAST of acting.
I loved this episode!
I don't trust Mary Louise. She reminds me too much of Perry. Unassuming, quiet, loving, but so damn unpredictable.
The Madeline and mary confrontations are hilarious
She’s so good
Always amaze with Meryl acting...
I love how Mary Louise is very direct . 😂
Oh She is so talented! It's a huge pleasure to see her in BLL2!
Oscars all around. Meryl, Reese and Nicole 👏👏👏
My fave show, powerhouse performances
Omg, just give her the Emmy now!!!!
a brilliant scene
woow mary loiuse streep
Meryl Streep is going to kick ass in this 2nd season 💞
Her mannerisms just won her a best actress award already!
A touch of Silver Screen Legendary on television, this should be good.
I might have to get HBO just to watch Meryl work her magic.
I can't wait to see this episode of big little liars season 2 on Sunday
Amazing
Wow, her manipulative skills is on another level, creepy and crude but spot on and very satisfying to watch
reese's reaction in this scene omggggg
this scene was gold😂
I find little people to be untrustworthy) so true😂
The best scene in this episode :D
MERYL STREEP GET HA
This scene is heart breaking. God, to be in such situation as Madeleine is.
Mary Louise is a constrictor boa with her saying.
Just amazing!!! Um show de atriz caralho
5 Oscars in one scene 😁
I’ve been thinking about this scene ever since I saw it 🤣 “little people are untrustworthy”? 💀🤣
This show is a master class in acting from Meryl Streep. She completely inhabits her character. Mentally, you know it's her. Emotionally? She is her role.
Reese > Nicole in this show. Her timing is just impeccable. Nicole's character is powerful and significant, but not bold (in terms of writing). On the other hand Madeline is just so unpredictable and deep, and Reese plays it to perfection. ❤️
This scene was brilliant I am not always a fan of Meryl but she was unrecognizeable in this scene and really nailed this character, it is so realistic and she changed her voice along with it, reminds me of Iron lady when she became the old lady, no shades of meryl at all, i think she does deserve an emmy for this role
OMG, Devil is back 😍😍
queen
i love her hahhaha
Lesson learned: Just say hi and run away!
This should be shown in acting classes.
Will Mary Loise ever find out about her connection with Ziggy? Besides the truth about her son? And how will she react? Will she truly accept him as her own? That's my biggest question for season 2!
Meryl. Amazing
Meryl. She’s so awesome man!
how is Meryl so greattttttt in her every role ??!!!!!!!!!!! no, this is not a question
Meryl Streep gives you the heebie jeebies with every line she delivers. She's so good.
Can they give her a special oscar just for this scene bc is an Emmy is not enough.
The passive-aggressiveness of this scene is unparalleled
nothing passive about it!
Those who unfortunately know passive aggressive people like this know how spot on this character is.
I wish she could meet the Godmother from Fleabag 😆
Meryl Streep absolutely killed this role. 🔥
@@ilooli What a terrifying thought! 😮
