'Qu'est-ce que c'est' is French for 'what is that'. I really like Talking Heads. I saw the frontman David Byrne a couple of years ago at a festival and that was a spectacular show!
Thank you so much for your review, always makes me happy to watch it but this one in particular. It is yet another video with happy memories. Talking Heads was actually my first concert I went to accompanied by my cousin because I was too young to go by myself to Leiden to see the concert. It was in the early 80's (I think 1982 or 83) and I was about13-14 at the time. I wasn't a real fan at the time but thrilled to see any concert ;-) Now it's pure nostalgia ! Psycho killer 'Qu'est-ce que c'est' ra pa pa pa pa pa pa pa pa ;-)
That's the whole point. A real psycho killer wouldn't be listening to "evil, bad, demonic songs"...they would have been listening to "happy" songs bc they think they're psychotic thoughts were "normal" thoughts.
This song is also used in a scene of the movie Bloodshot. Very weird but funny scene! th-cam.com/video/baFbTuktbQY/w-d-xo.html Never knew this song if I haven't watched that movie
Have you guys done a reaction to Talking Heads "Burning Down the House" yet? Thats another popular one that played on the radio and MTV a lot. Im newish. This is one of theor earliest perfomances. God I miss this era so friggin bad! The whole 70s and early 80s punk scene was epic. Rock scene too. God Im glad that the ability to record and listen was invented. Especially since so much crap comes out now. At least Greta Van Fleet aka the new Led Zeppelin gets it. There's still hope.
Talking Heads was THE alternative to all the other bands sounding like everyone else.

Oh….I remember this one. At that time it was an alternative to the main stream music! Nice😉
Thx PaulF! Nice one. Again! 😉
Loved it, for a ten year old a bit weird I think now. Was before my Punk mood 🤣
Great band… 💯👍
Their whole debut-album, 1977, is great

The "Pa pa pa pa pa pa" was a chickensound.
