Man I won’t have the time to put into this game, especially with TotK coming less than a month after it releases. I’m happy that Barrett was able to preview this! Maybe I’ll catch it later this year. Alongside TotK and Spider-Man 2, this is one of my most anticipated games.
5:10 Greg Trying To sneak in Jeezy Creasey in his everyday vocabulary is HILARIOUS Been listening since 2017 This Is Probably his 2nd Time Saying it EVER (if you know you know)
Customization hype! That was one of my biggest gripes with the first game - I just looked so lame throughout the whole game. I hope there are more ninja-esque/ Jedi vibes with like robes or cloaks.
My Star Wars game is Squadrons on PS4. Playing that in a cockpit with HOTAS and PSVR will always be one of my favorite gaming experiences ever. I wish they would port it to PSVR2.
3:35 It's Star Wars game or Bullshit! Is it a Star Wars game or Bullshit? Barrett's gonna say some stuff and we'll figure if it's a Star Wars game or not. BAR-RET COURT-NEY!
The only Star Wars games I've play are the KOTOR games, I'm not a traditional Star Wars fan so I was sold on the RPG gameplay and had no idea what was happening but they're still all timers to me.
@@conroy644 Yeah like Greg and Blessing constantly say, “That thing of….”, when describing something. If you haven’t noticed watch out for it, it’s constant 😂
I'm slightly disappointed the "squeeze through a crevice in the rocks as a loading screen" gimmick still exists in these modern day sequels years into the ps5/series x era
Barret is one of my favorite Kinda Funny crew. It’s always nice when he’s on mainline content. I know he’s needed back in the producer chair most of the time, but the more we can have him on camera the better ❤
If Fallen Order is iterative (which I don't see as a bad thing at all) will it receive the same critique as HFW? Imo HFW is exactly what Barrett said about Survivor all the things that I liked about Zero Dawn but bigger and better I'm not asking this to pit the games against each other I just want to know if there's a material difference or if it just comes down to preference (which is fine)
horizon usually gets shit beacuse it came out next to elden ring and zelda so you cant really compare unless star wars has a greatest of all time level game next to it.
I think if you go back and listen to them talk about the first game, they had a ton of issues with it. I actually think these franchises are more similar in terms of good but not great - and a ton of really weird problems - than they are to games they’re compared to (especially Horizon with its open world release buddies).
@@NM-sb9co Well the team did a podcast recently about HFW a year later and their complaints about the game proper were along the lines of "Horizon is too bog standard of an Open World game for its own good." Something I heavily disagree with. I wanted to see where (if at all) the team saw Survivor as different or where it might excite them more than Horizon does. Could be as easy as the star wars setting could be more I'm just curious.
@@EveryTimeIDavid that's kind of what I mean it seems they're very comparable franchises and with Survivor trying to do what Forbidden West did as far as take what works and iterate in an open world setting I want to know their thoughts. I feel like journalist are over open World games as a whole so I'd like to see where the differences between that and this are.
@@thepews1511 for sure. Open world is a dirty word for me. So many of them are just check boxes or not rewarding. I’d love to hear more on the differences as well.
It doesn't quite sound like the map has changed that much. I was kind of hoping for a complete overhaul. I DNF'd the other one because the map was too much of a clusterfuck, and the map they showed here doesn't look much different.
It's a metroidvanian game like Metroid Prime or Ocarina of Time. You might not enjoy it, but the level design provides a much deeper experience for those who do.
Very interested to see if Greg's opinion has changed on the first one if he revisits it. Personally I disliked the first game and was so confused by its praise.
There was a great game there, but went back and played it again the other day, and it feels a lot worse than I remembered it feeling. I remember having issues, but I did not want to continue my second play through.
This isn’t a dig at Barrett by any means but as a games industry, can people say current gen or PS5 and Series X & S consoles at this point? It’s almost been three years since the new consoles were released
Throughout the industry this has always been a thing of contention. More and more games are still being released on PS4/Xbox so I would bet it won’t be locked in as current gen fully till next year. Most of my friends still play on PS4 anyway because they can’t afford PS5, so it also depends on the wealth of the community
Current gen would be gens supported, and right now there are just too many supported platforms. Next-Gen is still needed when discussing something only on the PS5/Xbox Series consoles.
Wonder if single Saber stance enhances your force offhand power..? If not, I don't know why you wouldn't want two sabers. After hearing more, I think this continuing trend of comparing everything to Souls is so lazy and is making it meaningless. FYI Bless.
I know for a lot of people the idea of the game being more souls like is a good thing, but its honestly off-putting for me. I hope it doesn't go too far
2:13 And this is the why there has been no growth with Kinda funny... Keep that divisive drivel out of your shows and just focus on talking about video games.

Love that Barrett got to do this preview. I am so hyped for Survivor
He likes doing previews and things of that nature.
Honestly the best person to preview a Star Wars game.
Just the person for the job
Can’t wait to play Jedi Survivor and things of that nature
Its that thing where I like Barrett and things of that nature.
Before I watched this preview I was always wondering what nature the things would be of. Not anymore! Thanks heaps 😂💙
Keen to give Jedi: Side Adventures a crack!

Oh god I can tell this is going to be way more nerdy Star Wars information preview than I need
I know I'm piling on here... But I walked away for a day and came back and holy shit with the Things of that Nature.
Good preview from Barrett. Cautious optimism and hope from him as someone who really loved the first.

A Jedi with a mullet... I can die happy now😂🤟
