    Great video as it explains so much, but at the same time brings up so many questions in my mind. The imagery that you shared really opened up my concept about altars. But in reading the scriptures it appears that there are different kinds of altars or at least different ways to use and altar. For example you have burnt sacrifices which you covered but numerous other sacrifices that don't appear to be burnt. Also you have animal sacrifices but then also grain or vegetable sacrifices. Would love to know more about this as I am studying and it seems a bit challenging to get a clear picture around this.

    This is confirmation that I'm not taking my alter to serious n to even be more committed to creating a true worship atmosphere. 🙏 Thanks for posting

    I sense the alter in our day would be represented by a heart posture of placing our self in Gods presence by Christ sacrifice on the cross. Allowing Him to complete the work of Christ in our life. I noticed that in the Bible new places calls for new alter. A fresh submitting to God. I understand that Our God is a consuming fire!! Abraham had to build the alter the preparation so to speak and making ready, expecting for God to send the fire. When the fire comes this showed that God honored the sacrifice. The only true sacrifice that we can offer is Christ himself. He that doeth truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest that they were wrought by God. When we offer Christ to God He is well pleased, the aroma sweet. Christ is always pleasing to the Father. God will send the Fire. Wherever He finds Himself. He is looking for himself in our lives. Do we resemble Him? The fire purifies us to resemble Christ. Wow!! We should not be known after the flesh!! God always matches fire for fire, passion for passion, and grace for grace!!

    I think the fire represents purefecation, as with gold or silver. They would take the purest unblemished animal for sacrifice and then Yah would finish the job. Like how we are supposed to change our lives and get the sin out but Christ finishes the job in His sacrifice for us, just a thought.

    • @mannyyankey64

      If Jesus Christ was indeed a sacrifice ,why was his throat not cut and laid on an altar for his body to be consumed by fire just like how God instructed Moses in Leviticus?

    • @karenabrams8986
      @karenabrams8986 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mannyyankey64 because according to the Bible the Jews lost control of their law and broke the covenant with God by delivering the Jesus to the Romans and some other naughty. They get to be damned and the Christian’s get to be the chosen now. At least that’s what they hope. Revelation says gods gonna only save 144,000. 12,000 from each tribe listed there. All of them will need to have a perfect 🍆. The Lord of the Penises insists.
      I’m here to figure out what they were building. I’m reading a Book of Mormon and this fan fiction is funny af. It occurred to me that I’d like to build my own stone alter in my back yard for a bbq.

    My question is how the name "Altar call" came in to existence?
    Could it be an exchange of God now making us the altar when we received Jesus Christ as our personal Lord bad saviour?

    Hi Paul. I was wondering about the significance, or relevance to life today, of Noah building an altar as soon as they got off the Ark? Great video by the way.

    • @PaulVanderKlay
      @PaulVanderKlay 7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I suppose it was tough to sacrifice while ON his wooden boat. :) Without doing much research it is, like Job's sacrifices for his children, just what a righteous person does. In this case sacrifices of thanksgiving for being spared from the flood. Offering sacrifices was how a righteous person responded to God or the gods throughout history.

    All the major churches built even to this day have altars in order to place the one true perfect eternal sacrifice which takes place just like in the early church and that one same sacrifice that when can be present and receive is the body and blood of our precious lord and creator our lord Jesus Christ. For he says if you do not eat of my body and drink from the cup you have no life within you

    Hi Pastor. Is it relevant for a Christian today to raise up an Altar? Not for sins but against evil altars?

    • @masteryourfrench8243
      @masteryourfrench8243 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Absolutely! You can destroy evil altars by presenting a sacrifice to God. That sacrifice can be for example a significant amount of money that you offer to God in order to destroy evil altars. God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Plus he loves when one's buildth altars to Him. Be Blessed !

    I feel like alters are corrupted by evil humans today's an use it wickedly somehow idk much about alters 8 just heard a song an the word alter was mentioned didn't know want it truly was so i typed it up I also want to say after watching this can a furnace be an alter? I ask cause loves ones all around the world are cremated many do it cause it's less expensive and it also gets me thinking about what the Nazis did to many Jews in furnaces it's sicking to think about but I am human an think all the time I just know one thing Thier is an creator that loves all and feel an alter can be a person and his or her prayers as in sacrificing your time in prayer into your daily routine
