    Wear the hat higher to amplify vent capabilities. You can also push a paperclip or piece of coated wire (to prevent rusting) in the brim to stiffen it and be able to shape it. Rolling up the back is great for keeping it from bashing into your backpack. Wearing the strap to the rear, tightened up like a drill instructors hat strap is the best strategy for hat security without having an annoying strap around your chin.

    I have been wearing a boonie hat for more than 7 years daily. I prefer them to have snap sides and vented. Great hats. If you soak them they really help regulate heat well and they dry quickly. The brim also helps as a bowl for collecting wild edibles or tinder. Recce (pronounced Recky) are my prefered as when they snap up they don't rub on your ears as much.

      I just got my first boonie hat, a cheap Swiss Tech from Walmart. It has the snap sides and loops for veg. The high desert sun is intense and brutal. The shade the brim provides helps tremendously with heat reduction and can be wet for extra cooling.

    Awesome! Rip stop material is the way to go. Very durable. Also comes with many camouflage patterns. Shabbat Shalom peeps.

    I remember you from T Morris, littlefoot. Great story on the boonie hat.
    One of its functions also is to break up the outline of ones head.
    I used to stich the pommel down to the brim over my left eye to help keep the brim up because I shoot left handed. I was in a recconesense company in the early 80's.

    I got one today for the hot weather, just a cheap $20 one. Boonie hat for outside, regular baseball style hat for indoors.

    We would take a wire coat hanger and straighten them out then feed it through the outer edge of the brim so we could shape it for various reasons. Great job little sista. Great info, well spoken and very appreciated. Praise the Most High YHWH, Shalom.

    Great job, Lucia; I enjoyed the history of the hat you explained so well!
    I discovered the existence of the boonie hat last July, the hottest month in Italy in the previous 150 years; I used it with satisfaction first in the woods near my city and later in the Sinai desert (Egypt), where I went for a diving holiday (in the Red Sea) with an average air temperature of 37 degrees Celsius (98.6°F). I soaked it in seawater to cool my head, and it worked fine. Mine is 65% polyester and 35% military-grade rip-stop cotton; I bought it at a gun store. I like its versatility; it's much better than a baseball cap since it protects your ears and neck from the sun.
    Except for the city, where I wear a Panama Hat, the boonie hat is my ongoing summer headgear.

      Thank you! I really appreciate your feed back and info on the hat you have been using. I have been trying to find boonies for our site but unfortunately it’s been nearly impossible to find a USA manufacturer.

      @@sanctifiedsupplyco You are right; most are made in China and of good quality. Mine "military grade" is Chinese-made. The American product is too expensive, and buying one from the United States would cost us Italians 35% more than the American price due to taxes, duties, and VAT.

    I'm trying to understand a need for a boonie hat when I already have a bucket hat. I'm not sold yet. I don't need to put flowers and leaves on my hat, I don't have enemies around me.

    • @sanctifiedsupplyco
      @sanctifiedsupplyco  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you Love and serve YHWH The One who Created you, you do in fact have enemies.
      “If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”(JOHN) 15:19
      Its not just about enemies though. For hunting it provides practical camouflage.
      Anyways, concerning boonie hats, some of us like them.
      That alone is a good enough reason to wear either a boonie hat or a bucket hat. The boonie hat is really just an evolution of the bucket hat, although in my opinion, the bucket hat is not nearly as practical and pretty much only exists in “fashion” today.

      @@sanctifiedsupplyco Did you hear about Israeli soldiers killing their own Israeli hostages?
      What do you think about it?

    • @sanctifiedsupplyco
      @sanctifiedsupplyco  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, I’ve heard that. Thank you for your comments.
      Not all that call themselves Israel are truly Israel and Yeshuah makes this clear in the gospel of John and John also writes about this in the book of Revelation.
      John 8:42-44
      “Yeshua said unto them, If YHWH were your Father, you would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from YHWH; neither came I of myself, but He sent me. Why do you not understand my speech? even because you cannot hear my word. You are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
      Revelation 3:9
      “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.”

      @@sanctifiedsupplyco I'm glad to know you are not one of the many sheeple who follow what the major media feed them. I'm a believer myself and I don't agree Jews should consider the current nation of Israel as their homeland. I support Naturei Karta.

    • @sanctifiedsupplyco
      @sanctifiedsupplyco  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree as well. Im actually going to be doing a video on this topic very soon. So please subscribe if you would like to see it.
      It’s documented fact that the Satanic Rothschilds founded what is being called the nation of Israel that we see today. So called israel doesn’t even come close to representing the reverence and obedience that our Patriarchs written about in Torah had.
      I personally believe Yeshua was and Is The Messiah we are waiting for. But before He returns to establish His reign over the real Israel, all the nations of the world will unite (as it was under Nimrod) and they will worship the false messiah. A.K.A. the man of perdition, or the anti messiah. This process in fact has already begun and is even evidenced by the deception we see in Israel now.
      I understand why many will not and cannot accept christianity. I also reject what Christianity believes. Because just like what we see in “Israel” today the people representing both Judaism and Christianity do not live by whats written in scripture. What is seen and believed by the majority does not accurately represent what is written in scripture. We are Israel, who do and guard YAHs commandments, Israel is Not just a land mass. The second exodus will be so incredible that people will no longer speak of the first one when by the power of YAH Moshe brought the plagues down and lead all the tribes of Israel through the red sea and out of Egypt.
      To those who believe 1947 was something biblical I say, Jews stepping off of an airplane in Judea does not qualify as a fulfillment of this prophetic event.
