Hi CG - thanks for this great video - how would we go about adding an image to this? lets say, for example in this case, we wanted to add an image of a motion picture film - how do we go about that? I have a specific image i want to add to my 3D text so that I turn it into a logo

@@andreadfishing Thanks som much for kind words :) Well, theres many ways to approach adding illustrations to Blender. I assume that you have a still image like a .jpeg or .png you want to add ? In that case, make sure you go to Edit - preferences - add on: Search for image, and tick the box for Import images as planes. Exit out of preferences window. In viewport press: Shift-A - scroll down to image - Select import image as planes - select your image. It will show up in your viewport as a textured plane with the image on it. Let me know if this helped or not :D

Andrea Dugmore you’ll find on the right on the tab thing you’ll find a tv logo click it scroll down till you find film click the arrow beside that then you’ll find transparent, click the box beside that. There you go.

Thanks, thats nice to hear :) Try maybe relocating the place of your font on a different harddrive/folder etc. Sounds a bit odd to me.

You can select the ground plane and adjust the material roughness value to 0 😊 hope that helps.

Can text be made so that the horizontal top and horizontal bottom edges are 'thinner' profile, with the thickness in the center being thicker.... so you get a vertical, automotive arc to the letters?
