This was how it work. You would pay a pack loader , and he/she would log on your account and buy the pink gem for you at a lower rate .
Normal price is 9999 pink gem for $100 USD
pack loader was charging 9999 pink gem for $25-$35
no, pack loader charging $65-70/pack. The aptoide discounts nowadays are just as cheap as the pack loaders were. so we got something nice out of it

Umm I didn’t actually get that -: saving pink gems which cost the same as your normal pack I mean you could just save the cash in a savers account then use aptiode which still gives upto 35% discount regardless of pink gems … so what am I missing here , I’m presuming pink gem had a input error just like the € or $ or £ or any currency could have so people just purchased a whole load of packs which actually is the retailer fault ( Evony ) once purchased can’t take it back so there is a lawsuit for this kind of stuff if anyone wanted to pursue it cause technically they ( Evony ) stealing from your virtual account and there error is not your fault it’s there fault
no, previously, people were using what were called "pack loaders". These are people, usually in other countries, using a localized currency paying less for the packs due to different app store costs/currency costs, sometimes coupons, etc. It's all very black box, so no one could tell who was legit, etc. It turns out that nearly all pack loading services offloaded their pack loading to one guy that hacked the pink gems store and got them for like 1c each. Which obviously is illegal, but no one knew what was happening. Then bam, everyone got troop wiped

In japan many features of the game are considered gambling (which is illegal). By purchasing an in game currency that you redeem for packs it circumvents the law
They are just in game currency where 1 pink gem = 1 US cent. It's just a way to buy packs in bulk. Buy $100 pink gems, to buy 100x $1 packs easier

No whales willingly used the pink gem glitch, it was done by a third party unbeknownst to them. They thought it was legitimate pack loading(using another countries exchange rate to buy packs for cheaper is very common in mobile games)

How does it work when you switch to Japanese then back to english, does your pink Gem Balance remain if you don't use it all? Why use the pink gems, does it eventually equate to cheaper packs?
Aptoide runs promotions for an extra 10% back once a month. If you buy pink gems on that day you maximize your discount, and then you can redeem them for different packs throughout the month. Otherwise you’re limited to whatever packs are available the day aptoide has the extra discount
I use it as a form of budgeting, saying i'm only spending X amount in the next month. And buying it when you get bonus days on aptoide, it's helpful. Because you still want to spend for the events when they come up, not before.

pink gems were never illegal. They just were loaded illegally before(unbeknownst to (almost)everyone doing it)
