I can't believe the gold that was up on top of that log. Ditch that dream mat for some vdr or anything else lol. Can't wait to see the frankenbanker run some of that beach material👍⛏
All of the sand on that log was likley Ice dune sand. The dunes can be 20 feet of solid ice in the winter. In spring, the ice slowly melts, leaving the sand on the log. Unless there is a summer storm, that sand will stay where it melts until the fall storms.To really get a feel for this, you have to visit a great lakes beach during a november storm.

I usually only use dream mat. It's the best if u run it right. They really need a lot of water flow to properly clear out and activate the swirly bird. More water over that bucking horse until u see the swirly bird going and get out of the way . Give ole rigbone a howdy for me. And rigby needs a peeber not lake water. It looks like there are more and more trees in the way on each video. The best pan of log was funny. I like the idea of the mini sampler. I was actually wondering if you could make a small miller table to toss a 3 finger pinch on. Shouldn't be any harder to pack in than the little highbanker you had.

Jason, I don't know much about the geology of that area, but shouldn't some of those vast amounts of beach rocks be things like Chlorastrolite? I know you've found agates and Yooperlites, might be neat to hook up with one of the local rock hound types to poke around. The UP is so rich in minerals, some of which I've never heard of before, I reckon your missus might already have some cabochon material kicking around, if she was into that.
That little sluice setup system is awesome! I love how easy to take a long with you it is and how practical it is as well! I personally haven't used any dream matt but I have heard from a lot of people that it works extremely well👍😎⛏️ Thanks for another awesome video FGW 👍🍺🤜🤛

When running the DM, carry a small cleaning brush and make sure to brush the DM cells to remove all bubbles. Otherwise the cells with bubbles will let gold hit and float out.

Nature replenishes the beach over time. Nice that the black sand is so thick there again. Sadly when I was up at my favorite spot, it had been stripped out the day before. Hopefully it will be replenished when I get back next time. I hate when people do not fill their holes. It can mess things up for others. I love my Dream Mat Micro. It performed very well for me. So well that I have a larger one coming so I can build a bigger sluice box. Funny you are going smaller while I am going larger. The Dream Mat Micro holds the gold very well and the black sand washes out easily. Cleanups are so easy and fast too.
What other channel is out there recording? You said it was on video. I hope you do not think it was me. With the cost of gas for my truck I am sure not going to waste my time mining where someone else already has. I believe there is gold all along the shores of Lake Superior from end to end. Except the Keweenaw that is. Lot of copper and some silver up there.
The hot spots are never all gone. You just have to look harder for them and test test test. Does all the drift wood help with the gold settling of the gold? Are you using Coulter Youngs sluice? Works really good. Thanks for sharing your wet adventure.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥

They all fell from way up above and are growing on 40 ft of sawdust from an old sawmill!

I use the micro dream mat in my clean up sluice. I think ot works great. Catches the fold and very little cons left to clean out.

The hot spots are never all gone. You just have to look harder for them and test test test. Does all the drift wood help with the gold settling of the gold? Are you using Coulter Youngs sluice? Works really good. Thanks for sharing your wet adventure.😎😎⛏⛏🔥🔥

Hey Jason, I have a dream mat that I got this spring for my keen a52 sluice box and I love it you have half the cons than the original plus I noticed it does well running the material threw it quick so less time to run a bucket. 👍

That's a great way to test. I use my adventure sluice from dream mat to do that. That rig you have there is really great.
