    Here a Linux bash version of getting the SD card into script mode - after formatting as FAT you can use this command - it worked for me.
    echo SCRIPT | dd bs=1 count=6 seek=496 conv=notrunc of=/dev/sdX1
    where X is your SD card.
    And THX for the useful video !

  • @PyrianVT
    @PyrianVT 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    HEADS UP GUYS..:
    Just found out that FAT32 also has a minimum volume size of about 260MB so the smallest card you can use is 512MB... Don't fret though, it does still work with FAT instead of FAT32. I have tested it. It seems to still be working as intended so far, but just incase, would be best to get an SD card with minimum of 512MB.

      do you mean switch off? there are two different scripts in the forum. one of them only gives you the clean HDMI, the other also deactivates the automatic switch-off. look if you are using the correct script. I don't think it has anything to do with the fw, but I don't know exactly either ...

    Thanks for sharing. Tried on my M100 and it is work the clean HDMI. But after 2-3 minutes it stop "recording". I need to softly pressed the shutter to make it on again. Is it commond problem? My M100 firmware is Ver.1.0.1, I am afraid this is the root couse of the problem.

    does it affect the dummy battery to always turn on the m100 camera when streaming? I use the default camera battery for only 30 minutes, the camera turns on and then turns off and I have to press the button and it turns on again. I ask for a solution. Thank you

    So instead of the Camlink, can you just use the micro HDMI connect directly? No software required on the computer?

    • @NOPROTV
      @NOPROTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      no you need a camlink or something similar, there is a cheap alternative on amazon... the software depends on what you wanna do, for streaming obs, for calls skype...

    Great content. have you tried using the Canon webcam software with your M100? I have M100 and want to use it as a webcam but I don't want to buy camlink.

    • @NOPROTV
      @NOPROTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      hi thank you! i don't know the software, but according to the website the m100 is not yet supported. Maybe it will come with an update.
      If you don't want to spend a lot of money on a Camlink, there are ten times cheaper alternatives on Amazon. I bought a cheap capture stick myself and would recommend it to others.

      Yes, all functions are still there. You can still change the frame rate in the camera menu.

    Does your camera turn off after 30 minutes, too? I don't understand why... I turned the setting "Auto Power Off" off but it still shuts my camera down (Aperture is still open so the camera is not fully off). I get a Screen which looks like the TV Error with many colors xD
