There's a point to note that erythroblastosis occurs when the foetus (baby) is positive and the mom is negative. Because the baby is positive during parturition(delivery) few drops may get mix with mother's blood because of which mom's blyphocytes will start making the antibody to attack on the RBC with the antigen. It will cause complications in the first delivery since the baby is no more with contant of mother's blood but in her second pregnancy if the is positive then mom's rh antibodies will attack on rh antigen which will ultimately destroy the RBCs of the baby and the baby will die.
there will be no complications in the first pregnancy. To prevent complications in the second pregnancy (erythroblastosis foetalis), some anti-Rh antibody is injected to the mother immediately after first delivery so that the mother's body does not make anti Rh antibodies in memory b cells.
Thanks for easy explanation of blood group and Rh-Factor.. Note- The Erythroblastosis fetalis can be prevented by administration of anti-D injection to Rh-negative mother withing 24hrs from the 1st Rh- positive child birth.

I have a question in the topic of universal blood donatable group O- If O is containing both a and b anti bodies and we mix it with blood group A or B then won't antigen stuck with antibodies which both a and b are present in O blood group?

If O is containing both a and b anti bodies and we mix it with blood group A or B then won't antigen stuck with antibodies which both a and b are present in O blood group?
