Why did they think gaslighting and manipulating people as a mechanic is a good idea? I just feel like they intentionally made the main character as a-hole..
They did! It sounds stupid, but it makes sense in the context of the game. The lead character is forced to come to terms with the consequences of her behaviors. Over the course of the campaign the game reveals itself to be about the power to use language for creation or destruction. Her reliance on negativity starts to put her life and everything around her at risk, and she’s forced to mature and transcend.
As a gay man myself , while the game's story is great , unfortunately the amount of dialogue and some moments in the game can make me cringed out a LOT. If only those things are all taken out THAN it would've been an emotional story like how the dev wanted it to be. But still , it doesn't mean it should get a lot of hate for it's contents tho , cuz those haters , well wether they play or not , they're still people who'll end up in hell when they die anyway cause like damn , feeling bad for the dev tho. Hope he'll recover after seeing all the hate.
Oh yeah, gay man here as well and I hate that people are angry at this game for all the wrong reasons. That said, everything I've seen was very badly written IMO. I have my problems with the ending of Red Thread's previous two games and I just couldn't commit to buying this one.
ooh boy. this song rocks, and I'm genuinely interested in trying the game (a bit too pricey for me atm), but be prepared for the avalanche of hate comments.
Thank you! The game isn’t perfect, but it’s a solid story, especially if you’re a fan of Quantic Dream style games. Also, we’re no strangers to haters here, we regularly have racist trolls commenting on our Alan Wake 2 videos.
This has to be a joke lmao, I refuse to believe anyone likes that terrible propaganda posed as a video game Kudos on the music and singing but it isnt changing that equally terrible song...
I beat it last week, it didn’t feel like propaganda to me. A lot of people are posting about it online, taking clips out of context and missing the message of the game. It’s a little rough around the edges, definitely not for everyone, but I was impressed with the story and world building.
I could also get into the various playthroughs I've seen that contain the supposed "out of context clips" you speak of There's no context you could miss from them, and even with the supposed missing context it doesn't change anything Am I missing any context from the main characters bratty attitude or the various weird nods to real political issues?
I love your content man, I mean my profile picture being the lightbearer logo should be evident enough lmao I know saying "well what I like is better and what you like blows" is never really the best option, I feel like this game is a different situation It's universally hated, and for good reason. And seeing people still support such an obvious heartless game is pretty disheartening
@@scotts_e there's no doubt that it's a politically themed game, but I don't see anything inherently wrong with that. The attitudes and negative behaviors of the characters are a major theme of the game. The story goes into a deep exploration into the source and consequences of those actions and attitudes. Minor spoiler, but in a way, it was something similar to The Hiss that gave the characters their powers, which is why the lead character has abilities like "trigger", "cancel", "hoax", and "bully." Those powers are directly linked to the lingering echoes of an evil force that tore the country apart 30 years before the start of the game. It's nearly 20-hour long campaign, and the characters really do grow and mature throughout it, and they have to reckon directly with all of the chaos they cause along the way. It's ultimately a game about language and how can choose to use it for creation or destruction. It's not the best game I've ever played, but after beating it I really don't see much of an issue with it. That's just me though!
Absolute Banger!

Explain the meaning of rhyming “porn” with “newborn”.
The song is decent. By the time I am done typing this you prolly will have more views than the peak player count on Steam.

The game made me cringe sometimes too, but it is getting way, way more hate than it deserves

the game genuinely just sucks, Kingdom come deliverance is 3$ right now and is exponentially better
I liked both games, but it’s tough to directly compare them for me, they are trying to do totally different things

@@HiddenMachineGaming buddy on top of its obvious heavy handed political views it was funded by the EU , Norway, and U.S. governments...
