You dont have to wait for that one top deck to save your ass, you dont have to decide either to go face or trade, no need to pray to RNGod. It feels like this game was made for Lifecoach and this was only the first tournament in closed beta. Just wait for full release...

I still prefer Hearthstone to Gwent. This is because Hearthstone is fun. Gwent is a bit like chess - it probably requires more skill, but it's not as much fun.
I prefer Gwent than Hearthstone bcus HS plays kinda brainless. No real decision making, usually there is a one best play you can do and that's it. In gwent there is more decision making and teching against meta actually does work (30 cards 2 copies 3-4 starting cards? 25 cards 3 copies 10 starting cards).
The funny thing about the igni is that he kept a 15 strength unit and 1 card advantage. Baiting out Igni Turn 1 makes playing consume monsters way easier the next rounds cause no bronze is to big.
he counted his opponents as i said in my last comment takes like 2 sec, for his own he just counted 92+ 8 from keyran=100 then he will kill and resummon 3x arachas for 9 100+9=109. easy math and about everyone calculates it fast. But yes its pretty impressive when u are in a stressed situation where u will win 60k
Not to take anything away from Lifecoach's skill in this game, but the only reason he won that game was because of the busted Monsters passive and also his ghoul eating a 10 strenght card.

Yeah but now Nilf Tempo is all over ranked and nobody gets to encounter anything else. Multiple times I've had an entire hour of play where I faced nothing but Nilf Tempo. It's not just BS, it's plain boring.
Yes. This game has a lot of strategy involved. I'd actually recommend losing a turn because you can setup for the next round or have the opponent waste precious cards on a round you were going to lose anyway. The best out of 3 rounds adds alot of depth to this game. "You may have won the battle, but you have not won the war!"
Igni... my one weakness. That card makes me paranoid, I be thinking they always got it in hand every single game, even after they've already used it lol
i watched it live with few beers and had really fun evening .) even tho i know u played a lot and u have lots of experience in card games in general i honestly thought you vips wouldnt stand a chance angainst qualifiers. well u proved me and many others wrong, well played man, that finals was fuckin intense.

What's really sad is that genuinely competitive and fun encounters like this are now just being entombed by people who decided they value wins more than fun and competition and thus they all just play Nilf Tempo. Not only that but every single one of those decks is exactly the same. Exact same cards, exact same strategy. Ranked has got so boring to play now because of them. Really hope CDPR nerf the shit out of Nilf-Tempo and force players to learn how to play something else. If they don't then the entire Gwent meta is going to be reduced to Nilf Tempo and Nilf counter decks.

Dont play vs AI in gwent. You can practice with it when you have decent decks but until that, play against players, the AI is unfair.

Mors Magne depends on your kind of fun. I find learning a new skill fun and with games like chess there is always room to improve.
