    - Artist reacts to Acrylic Pour paintings that are ON FIRE ;-). Hi guys, today a different video format. I wanted to try something out and see if you would like it. I watch kinda a lot of acrylic pouring & abstract painting video's and thought... why not do a reaction video and let's watch them together. I pick out video's I haven't seen yet and give tips & insights along with them.
    These two inferno artworks turned out amazing.
    Molly's full video: • On FIRE! ~ Acrylic Pou...
    Olga's full video: • RED and GOLD with Blac...
    * the artists gave me their permission to use their video's

    I am an acrylic pouring addict, without a doubt. Playing with colors, testing out new fluid art techniques, brands, sizes & collaborating with other abstract fluid artists; is the best. Since I started this journey I feel more balanced in my work and passion. If you see these fluid painting tutorials and feel like, this is something for me: go for it! The fun thing about fluid painting is, that even though you do exactly the same, the outcome is different everytime. Also everybody has a different view of composition, colorcombinations and the way of doing a technique, what makes and keeps it so interesting to watch. Thank you for watching and following me in my modern art journey!

My first peices i think i used to much paint, i am a fan of the negative space in your work that i am trying to emulate but i noticed i blew out my painting too much, but cleaned off canvases and going to try again, beed to get some primer

      This may be a dumb question, as I am a beginner .. but why did she not pour more of her base color at the edge of the colors, prior to blow out? TIA
      It is gorgeous.. I am just trying to learn more. So that’s why I am curious.. 👍🏼

    Rinske,
    I think you're on to something. I like how you critiqued the videos. I think it would be wonderful and interesting if you would add some of the new artists, who may not be as popular or experienced, but who could use and would like and appreciate your input. I would be up for that. 😉. Ps. You are one of my favorite artists that I watch. I follow about 10 artists and I think a lot of you know each other. I've been painting over a year and a half, so I'm still fairly new, although I usually paint 3-4 times per week. I don't work, so I've taken the time and put the effort into learning how to do acrylic pouring. Fail after fail, at first. Then I watched Kanella mix her paints and I did what she did, and from there have steadily progressed. Sometimes I still struggle with my consistency per each technique. So sometimes I may get my paints a little too thick for like a Dutch pour or too thin for a ring pour. I don't always have trouble. Just now and then. But I don't get it right every single time. Do you measure when you mix your paints or do you just eyeball it?

    • @RinskeDouna
      @RinskeDouna  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi cici!! Yes exactly, i really want to use videos of new artists. All videos i havent seen yet. Im asking a lot of them permission now😁 since i honestly loved doing this video and also edit it. Yes fluid art has its challenges definitely. I do eyeball! But with amsterdam and water mostly it will be 50-50 mix or 45% water. 🥰

      Yes, I usually don‘t talk while I create my art. But in my videos I often do a voice over and explain some things you see me doing and why. Like in my last video, where I use my brush only in one direction. I want to create a special effect with this. ☺️

    My painting buddy and I took on Molly’s fire 🔥 on Saturday afternoon. Our results weren’t quite as good as hers (to be sure!) but we did notice her 90 degree angle on her dryer and that did help us improve our results (More black came through the blow out with that angle). What a coincidence to find that her painting must have interested you as much as us! We both adore you and your work (and your soothing voice!), Rinske-thank you for sharing your mind and your art. I love Olga too-she was my first intro into fluid art. Love you all-have a wonderful week!

    Probably holding hair dryer at 90 degrees because it's a 2200 watt dryer. I have to hold at 90 degrees with a 2200 but closer to 45 degree angle area with an 1875 watt when I used those. Also gives you a different result more on touch. Been doing a series of cosmic sea dragons on Insta that I could only do with a 2200.

  • @ashleigh2243
    @ashleigh2243 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It's nice to hear your methodology here. We see a lot of recipes and techniques but not the "but why"'s. Like, I had no idea black and yellow can create green. You explained (in both pieces) why and how you choose the color order, thickness, mediums, to tape the sides or not, putting a flame piece on a square canvas is difficult, the use of negative space, how and why cell size is created, why certain colors get lost, speed of traveling the cup, even the angel of the blow dryer! I just do it as a hobby but I still like learning and I learned more from this one video than the hundreds I've binged during lockdown. I would love videos like this. It also gives a sense of community and support to see people just being kind with how insane the world has become...🥰

    I love this way of viewing an artist at work... I would love for it to be the other way around... for Molly to watch you do one of your pours👍🏾🥰

    I love how respectful you are with your fellow artist's works. You once commented on one of my Facebook paintings in a wonderful way and I'll always support an artist peer like that as well. Beautiful video!

    Oh my gosh, I absolutely loved this video. I love to see other artists that I wasn’t familiar with, but your input Is what all videos need. It gave us a whole new perspective, you made us look at things We would’ve never looked at. I would love to see more of this type of video. But please please don’t stop showing your own art.
