    I would have a more mainstream approach:
    1) Tudor BB58- $3400
    2) Omega Speedmaster Professional Used- $3700
    3) Casio Oak- $99
    4) Seiko Alpinist- $750
    5) Cartier Tank Quartz Used- $2000
    That’s 2 automatics, 2 quartz and 1 mechanical
    Also that’s: 1 dress watch, 1 chrono, 1 diver, 1 god tier and 1 everyday watch….

    Scrolling the comments and no one defending Grand Seiko?? calling them soulless is crazy, very few brands put as much care into building watches as they do, maybe directionless is fair but soulless is a horrendous take. (IMO, and I know this is yours)

    • @fiend7777
      @fiend7777 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      After everyone saw that Nico owns a GS they realized that he respects the craftsmanship but hates the GS keyboard warriors and the way the company manages their product, which is fair. So he has to go back to trolling Grand Seiko.

    • @RhetoricWolf
      @RhetoricWolf 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Great list, personally I’m going with
    1. Tudor Pepsi gmt on nato strap (gmt, $3675)
    2. Hamilton khaki field (beater/everyday, $575)
    3. Longines heritage classic with a silver dial (dress, $2425)
    4. Oris aquis New York harbor green (diver, $1850)
    5. Junghans max bill chronoscope with blue dial (chronograph, $1413)
    And with my $152 remaining I will be purchasing seven Casio databank calculator watches.

    • @Eikenhorst
      @Eikenhorst ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I do love this list. You can get a G shock for 150 if that is your thing. With the Tudor I just feel that every watchmaker that has produced a dive watch has released that something that looks exactly like that (no GMT though), so it is not for me. The Junghans is a great dress watch as well. For a real unique chrono I would go for the 1972 Competition, and save 1000 on the Tudor and take the Sinn 857 UTC for the GMT watch.

    I wouldn't do a 5 watch collection tbh but here it is, my 10k collection would be something like
    1) used Omega Seamaster Diver 300m- 2300$
    2) Casio Duro - 30$
    3) Seiko Presage Cocktail white dial- 300$
    4) used Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Pro - 5600$
    5) Tissot PRX 35mm Powermatic 80 'MOP' dial - 750$
    It's slightly over budget but it'll do

    the last one genuinely looks like a low budget spy movie gadget - way too busy and horrible colour. I'm not a fan of Freqerique Constantin either but copying Patek for its design of the world time 5231G-001 is a bit sad. Alas, as long as it s not Hublot she'll de fine. Keep up the good work Nico!

    This collection is kinda bad can't believe his big boy watch was a Frederick constant and he then called grand seiko soulless as he included a tag carrera calibre 5 which dosent have a sapphire crystal which is something I have on a 300$ Orient. My choices would be.
    DATEJUST 36 4500$
    Zodiac super seawolf 1500$
    Vintage omega seamaster 1500$
    Oris big crown pro pilot 1750$
    Seiko alpinist Green dial 750$ maybe even a sarbo17 with luck
    There's a big boy rolex a dive watch a vintage dress watch a pilots watch and an everyday watch in 10000$ I do personally like the frederique constant world timer though its a great complication but the brand screams anything but "big boy" watch. A vintage lecoultre memovox or master control is also a great option if rolex is a bit too common.

      @@seavee2190 Memovox is an option and personally I think people with big wrists look ok with smaller watches, I have a large wrist myself and I find that maybe my most comfortable watch that gets a lot of wrist time is a tiny unisex 35mm rado voyager. Looks great under a cuff.

    Going with your strategy of having 1 big boy watch and 4 others complimenting it i would go with

    2. Hamilton Intramatic Chrono for $1500
    3. Nomos Tangente for around $2400
    4. Oris Aquis Date for $2200
    5. Tudor GMT or the Black Bay Pro for around $4000 or lower

    Casio Oak is for people who never wore a Casio, can easily affor a watch and want to get on the hype train.
    True Casio lovers would go for eather an Edifice, any budget Illuminator G-shocks or a Protrek if you really want a quality watch for YOURSELF.
