Hello, I am working on the pattern and having an issue with the row 5. You say that we need to chain 5, then we will do 3 single crochet into the top of the shell. after the 3 single crochets, in the top of the granny shell then do a double crochet into the single stitch. after that chain one and repeat 3 DOUBLE crochets. Is it double or single? to match the first shell? Time stamp 21:29
I didn't catch myself saying the wrong stitch but you are working 3 single crochet into the chain spaces in the granny shells, and then working a double crochet into the single crochet from the previous row.
The stitch multiple for this pattern is 6 + 1 + 1. As long as your beginning chain is as tall as your book, and the number of chains is divisible by 6 (e.g. 24, 36, 48). you can add 2 more chains and the stitch pattern will still work - hope that helps
Adding this to my long makes list
This will make lovely gifts! Beautiful yarn choice for a book cover! Another great tutorial!!
Thank you! 😊
Love it
Thank you ☺️

So if the book I’m making a cover for is 31 inches wide and 17 tall how many stitches would I use to start?
