I used the water soluble thread in my machine for the thread fringe instead of cutting. It was easier with a wet sponge go over that thread and dissolve it. Especially when I did the Christmas tree 🎄 Thank you for sharing 😊 you give wonderful tutorials.
Thank you for the tutorial. The fringe is a neat thing to know how to do. I look forward to all of your tutorials. I think I have looked at every one of them. Please keep them coming. You are a wonderful teacher.
just got my cd in the mail today can't wait to do all of them hope you do more video on some of the other ones in on this dc thank you I would have do it wrong I thought you cut on the front side to fringe now I know thanks so much
I took a class at Sew Special where we used wash away thread in the bobbin when we stitched satin stitches to make a Santa's beard. We used regular thread to stitch the tack down row. Then when all the rows were stitched, we wet the back and let the wash away thread dissolve. The result was lots of loops on the front that we fluffed into the beard shape.
Thank you for such a great video. I got my first embroidery machine for last Christmas and just now getting the courage together to it out of the box. I am going to make some of these ornaments for my craft fair. How much should I charge for the ornament? I’m glad I found your channel.
Thanks for the tutorial. I've never made fringe but I have done a rose. You had to cut the petals (top side) to have it fluff up. But you do have to be careful not to cut your fabric. Oops I did!
Mine are 4" bamboo hoops from Amazon. I re-sized the outer stitches in Embrilliance to make the design fit. The design is from Kimberbell and there's a link in the Description Box to the CD. Thanks for watching! Here are the hoops: amzn.to/3c2RKtz Here's how to resize - th-cam.com/video/L19QyyO570s/w-d-xo.html
Does pulling the thread backwards through the machine mess with the tension discs or is it the lint factor that is a concern? Or something else? Just curious. I know you're not supposed to do it, just not 100% sure why. Thanks! Love all your videos!!!
I've been told that the shredded fibers of the thread may/will ball up inside the machine and cause issues if you pull it backwards. Have I done it? Oh yeah. Maybe I was lucky and nothing happened to me that I'm aware of, but unless you're comfortable taking the machine apart to open up the thread path, I don't advise it. That's a "better safe than sorry" in my book.
Very cute!
Thank you for another Great teaching video. Becky I've yet to watch anyone that explains and shows how to machine embroidery better than you
Thank you! So nice of you to say! You made my day!

@@PowerToolsWithThread Thanks! I 100% agree to play it safe.
Becky if you don’t have fingernails use a tweezer as a fingernail.
Man that fringe doesnt like me....but I kicked it out of the park.... What is the next one that you will be doing?
That was the fringe. One has plastic bristles the 2are metal. They look like a large tooth brush.
