He clearly wanted his children to be successful, although he wanted to control them as well. I think that in a way, Janet and Michael are as iconic as they are mostly because of their own achivements and not just because they were musical royalty. That of course without forgetting how essential their producers were to them.

I have seen many interveiws that she has done and I really wish that they would stop asking her about the Superbowl. How many times are they gonna talk about that.
