I buy stacks of those little flat rare earth magnets from China. They're about 7/16" wide and 3/32" thick. You would be surprised how useful they are, even with fairly large workpieces. People told me they would corrupt the MIG arc and all sorts of other BS. Never happens. They said heat would ruin the magnets. So what? First of all, it's an imaginary problem, and second, they cost pennies each. They're incredible for aligning little parts you could never put a big magnet on, and you can stack them when you need different configurations. Several stacked magnets act like one big one.
Thank you.

if tools are looking a little beat up it means a person uses them regular
Don't forget to spray your magnet s with the stuff you put on your table so the metal shaving want stick to them
