I saw something similar in a local furniture store. Of course, those were made of glass, but brainstormed ideas of what items I could use from the dollar store. I immediately thought of the napkin holders as I used them before and they are easy to hang on the wall. I came across the chopping mats accidentally as i was looking at something else, but they worked out beautifully.
It's very easy. Dollar stores sell inexpensive hanging hooks kits. Use a hammer to tap the small nail and hook onto the wall. You can pick a frame hook from the kit and glue it to the back of the napkin holder, or remember the napkin holder is exposed in the back and it can double as a frame hook. That is how I hang mine and it holds without issues, just make sure you adjust it so the middle of the napkin holder sits in the hook so it doesn't tip over.
I think another light on the bottom would look brighter. Fab diy! 😊❤
