Those little blue dots in the taillights are called "Purple Glow" Blue Dots. Love the car.

Hi Rich , good to see your 49 coupe again . I really like this little Ford , do you still have it ? I know that's probably a silly question , that's a sharp little car . I've been keeping up with your videos, I like that 55 Ford wagon a lot to . From Trenton , Georgia thanks for sharing my friend , be well and safe . Keepem coming .

Hey Ken! thank you for the comment. I appreciate it. Both of those Fords have been sold some time ago. I appreciate you watching the videos. Keep an eye out as something may come around at the right time for you. Thanks again. Rich.

Very , very nice 49 , I would love to have this one . I was born in 1949 and have been looking for one of these for a long time . I've always been a huge fan of the 50's Fords , all of them . This is really nice my friend , be safe .

+++++ @0:54 they were called "curb feelers". When you got too close to a curb you would hear them scrape. Back when people had big whitewall tires. Nobody wanted to get their whitewalls all torn up from getting too close to the curb when parking. I actually remember seeing these on cars up to the early 1970s. They were an after market product you would see in the automotive mail order catalogs like " J. C. Whitney Co. "

Very nice 49 Ford. It’s not a Coupe. It’s a Tudor Sedan with the rear wing windows removed. They do this to resemble a Coupe which for many is a more desirable car. Still this one seems very nice.

Does the rear window roll down on the 49? The 50 I'm looking at has wing vent windows in the back and the smaller window in front of it rolls down

I think it’s a well done car. Kept it Ford under the hood, that’s big to me. I know some people would have like to have it the way it came, flathead and all. And that great too. But if I was going to upgrade, this is about the way I would do it. Nice car.

This could be my parents car in 1949. Color is close or the same, but I was 7 so hard to remember. They had a flat head, no spot light, lakers or duals.
I saw one in a store parking lot last summer and the rear seat leg room is more than you get in todays 4 door cars by a wide margin.

That would be cool if it was your parents car Ron. I say the same thing all the time regarding the back seat of a lot of the older cars. Thank you for you comment. Rich

In Ohio blue dot tail lights were called California tail lights or Kentucky go fasters &.for awhile illegal 👍

They had the poorest heater I have ever seen . They was short wheel base and could upset easily. and you also had to fill the points in the clock to get it to rewind.

What a pity, theses cars have gear change lever on the steering wheel column, not in the slab, what make it lost the originality, just customized !

A lot of details aren't original. To me that ruins it.

3 on the tree shifting was original on all Shoebox style models, NONE of them had floor shifters , unless modified.
