Hello, so nice to see you again in your ABBA Journay After the extraordinary success with "Waterloo" (1974) it took a long time for ABBA to ratify this success and demonstrate that the victory at Eurovision was not going to be a lucky and isolated success. "I do I do I do I do I do" (1975) was one of the songs that they tried this song is a beautiful melody, I think it reminds of the 50s decade, the voices and harmonies of the girls, the blonde Agnetha & and the brunette Frida are perfect, the song leaves a happy feeling the official video is simple and nice shows all four ABBA members, but the center is in the ladies Agnetha & Frida these video is one of four filmed at the same time in two days the other three videos was for the songs: S.O.S. ; Mamma Mía ; Bang a Boomerang (if you pay atention, the outfits of Agnetha and Frida, are the same that the official video of "Mamma Mia") in UK it did not enter the Top 30 (only #38) but the surprise was in Australia, which gave them their first #1 there (3 weeks) follow by "Mamma Mía" & "S.O.S " with two another #1 consecutives (all three #1 in a row, in 14 consecutives weeks) in U.K. when seeing that event, released "S.O.S." and was #6 in U.S. first edited "S.O.S." and pick #15 on Billboard, follow by "I do I do I do I do I do" with another #15 these is because ABBA have different company records in each countries, each company decide wich song was released that's why the chronology was different: Europe: I do (x5)/ S.O.S./ Mamma Mía U.S.: S.O.S./ I do (x5)/ Mamma Mía Australia: I do (x5)/ Mamma Mía/ S.O.S. and then the ABBA's series of global successes will already be continuous between 1975/1982 The single before was "So long" (1974) that couldn't enter in the UK Charts (only #91 I believe) the following single is "S.O.S." (1975) a different song in its genre the second ABBA worldwide hit See you later in next videos I wish You a great week Best regards from Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷 South America PS: I've been waiting for "He is your brother" live in Australia 1977, don't forget it please
Hello! It’s wonderful to see our shared enthusiasm for ABBA’s journey! "I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do, I Do" truly is a delightful song that captures that 50s vibe with its catchy melody and those stunning harmonies from Agnetha and Frida. We agree-their chemistry and presence are captivating! It’s interesting to see how their singles performed differently across the globe, especially with "S.O.S." becoming a breakthrough hit in the U.S. while "I Do" found its place in Australia. Your insights into the video shoots and outfits are great, too! We appreciate your thoughtful reflections, and we’ll definitely keep "He Is Your Brother" in mind for the future. Wishing you a fantastic week ahead in Buenos Aires! 🌟🎶

Hello, so nice to see you again in your ABBA Journay
After the extraordinary success with "Waterloo" (1974)
it took a long time for ABBA to ratify this success
and demonstrate that the victory at Eurovision
was not going to be a lucky and isolated success.
"I do I do I do I do I do" (1975)
was one of the songs that they tried
this song is a beautiful melody,
I think it reminds of the 50s decade,
the voices and harmonies of the girls,
the blonde Agnetha & and the brunette Frida are perfect,
the song leaves a happy feeling
the official video is simple and nice
shows all four ABBA members, but the center is in the ladies Agnetha & Frida
these video is one of four filmed at the same time in two days
the other three videos was for the songs:
S.O.S. ; Mamma Mía ; Bang a Boomerang
(if you pay atention, the outfits of Agnetha and Frida,
are the same that the official video of "Mamma Mia")
in UK it did not enter the Top 30 (only #38)
but the surprise was in Australia,
which gave them their first #1 there (3 weeks)
follow by "Mamma Mía" & "S.O.S "
with two another #1 consecutives
(all three #1 in a row, in 14 consecutives weeks)
in U.K. when seeing that event, released "S.O.S." and was #6
in U.S. first edited "S.O.S." and pick #15 on Billboard,
follow by "I do I do I do I do I do" with another #15
these is because ABBA have different company records in each countries,
each company decide wich song was released
that's why the chronology was different:
Europe: I do (x5)/ S.O.S./ Mamma Mía
U.S.: S.O.S./ I do (x5)/ Mamma Mía
Australia: I do (x5)/ Mamma Mía/ S.O.S.
and then the ABBA's series of global successes will already be continuous between 1975/1982
The single before was "So long" (1974)
that couldn't enter in the UK Charts (only #91 I believe)
the following single is
"S.O.S." (1975)
a different song in its genre
the second ABBA worldwide hit
See you later in next videos
I wish You a great week

live in Australia 1977, don't forget it please

The video that started my love affair with ABBA almost 50 years ago, I was 13 years old. You always look so happy Peter. Great reaction guys.
