Home Haunts are a huge thing in the US. I live in the Chicago suburbs and I'm part of a group called Chicago Haunt Builders - hundreds of people from the suburbs with home haunts with animatronics, lighting, some of them are walk-throughs with scare actors - it's insane! There's a map you can have your address added to and we spend a few nights every October driving around to check out as many of them as we can. We have a few animatronics and big characters (mostly from Home Depot) and all kinds of lighting/fog/effects, but our yard is NOTHING compared to many in the area. It's such a fun thing to be a part of!
I live near Cleveland, Ohio and there's a guy down the street from me who goes all out every year. I swear he has every Home Depot decoration they have. He even has a 12 foot skeleton with an actual flame thrower!
Distortions is the manufacturer of everything Halloween. If you get the chance to go to them in Colorado do it as you’ll see brand new animatronics that haven’t hit the market yet. I believe they were responsible for the ones at universal this year. They are known for absolutely fantastic animatronics. They made a full demon last winter with full fold out wings and the electrocuted man using a scare actor. The demon is based on their dragon animatronic from a couple years ago that does the same thing but breathes smoke.

I went into my first Spirit Halloween last week in New York and had the best time. Came out with a huge light up Beetlejuice sign and a few other pieces. Most big Spirit Halloween are a carbon copy of each other. Glad you've had the best time. 🎃
I genuinely wish the UK went this crazy for Halloween. Spirit looks incredible! There was this huge animatronic of a devil that levitates multiple feet in the air, not sure if you guys have seen it, but it looks insane.

This was another great video. I was just in a Spirit Halloween the other day activating everything having a blast. The pumpkin "rubbish" bag is to fill it up with leaves, nice cheap decoration. I enjoy Halloween as much as you guys and really appreciate all of the videos. Have a great time.
OMG! I am busting a gut!! The scary girl child at the start getting you both at the start was so funny! She has been a classic at SH for a few years now, Still popular. When the spider jumped out and heard Charlette scream and you casual asked if she was alright made me crack up too! The carnival animatronics would be so PERFECT for you two and the back yard!! Or rent a place and have the most epic Halloween party ever!! Buy it and ship it all home!! Good chance it will not be there next year. They only bring back big sellers and have never seen this stuff before!! Rent a storage unit if needed to use in the future! LOL! Just nothing more fitting. No, you put leaves in the deco that looks like pumpkins and stuff and decorate your lawn with them and throw in the trash when Halloween is over. Cleans up your lawn during the fall and effective at the same time...LOL! A Lowes is like a Home Depot too. Pretty much the same thing but different company. They have GREAT Halloween stuff too. They and Home Depot are the places to go for Christmas too. Halloween and Christmas are both places Holiday go to spots!
I have been to the one at merry hill and you would definitely be disappointed after seeing this haha. Some decent animatronics but nothing compared to this and probably a quarter the size. America is clearly where it’s at!

I love the jumpers and shirts they have! I would travel all that way just for those hahaha. There isn't much here in The Netherlands Halloween wise yet, but I am seeing that each year more is coming. But the USA still has so, so much more amazing stuff! Loved the video :D

Spirit Halloween the movie, made in 2022 looks very much like a TV Movie and stars Christopher Lloyd! Can't find it on Amazon or Netflix etc but found it quite easily on a streaming site
It's retitled Spooky Night, The Spirit of Halloween in the UK! Obviously Spirit Halloween does not make sense to most over here. DVD is £7.99 on Amazon, it might be on Prime under that title
Went to Merry Hill a few weeks ago. It was really good and fun. Mega busy though and not as big as spirit Halloween, which is expected. We travelled an hour and half to visit. Didn’t buy too much though as I thought it was quite expensive. A lot of the stuff you could get online or elsewhere for a lot cheaper. Feel like you could easily spend a fortune. If you’re not too far away, it’s worth a visit. We made a day out of it shopping🎃

Been doing my own scare maze for years now, normally buy imported props from Mad About Horror but the prices at Home Depot are amazing value! Unfortunately can’t do a lot for Halloween this year but so tempted to buy that 12ft pumpkin skeleton, would look incredible with some lighting and smoke!

I thought I'd mention it's really worth going to the Los Angeles Haunted Hayride in Griffith Park, it has a selection of houses plus the Hayride itself. Whilst in the area you can see both the old abandoned LA Zoo, plus the new LA Zoo. Also the Griffith Park Southern Railroad, a miniature railroad located in the park also. There's also the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice Afterlife interactive experience right next to The Dolby Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. The San Diego Zoo in one of the worlds best, located in Balboa Park. Make sure you check out the San Diego Zoo miniature railroad, located in Balboa Park off zoo property and coating only $4 each. By the way, if you like model railways there is a large model railway museum exhibit in Balboa Park, costing $20 each. I hope this helps with ideas, have fun.
