Just recently bought a 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe, SEL hybrid all wheel drive! I must say I was totally blown away the first day I test drove this SUV! Wow, if Hyundai can produce cars like this, Toyota and Honda should be very scared! Absolutely very quiet SUV. As long as you drive it like a hybrid not like a race car. My overall miles per gallon is 38 miles per gallon! Wow, go out and test drive one you will be driving one home!❤
can tell the man loves his vehicle to still have delivery wraps after 30 days of ownership 🙂 interior is so nice and love the clean layout. it's recommended interior gets protected when "new" to make cleaning easier later.
Awesome video. We just purchased a Hybrid Calligraphy a week ago and I can honestly say I agree with all the points you made, this car is amazing inside and out and the dealership we bought it from offered a lifetime Powertrain protection so we were stoked about that and we got the vehicle 2.5k off MSRP so we paid 49k for ours. We owned a 2017 Santa fe and it was a wonderful vehicle so upgrading to another Santa Fe was a no brainer for us.
I just got the hybrid calligraphy and am loving it. It rides so smooth and is nice and quiet. A total sleeper luxury car. I got the first Hybrid the dealer got after ordering it 3 weeks earlier. I got it in black and with the black rims it looks great. It also has the gray interior which is really white, same is yours. Just got the front windows tinted so its all blacked out. It is bonkers that it did not come with carpets though. Top of the line trim and no carpets? Mine was listed at 48k and I talked them down a couple grand and they are paying the first months payment.
@@ptg01 it has some decent pickup. Easy to get on the freeway and match speeds before I get on. I have no complaints and I am coming from a Dodge challenger.
@@beccab2522 I was a bit surprised as well, the local dealer was marking theirs up by 6k. I told them to jump in a lake. I went to the next county over and got a lower tax rate and way better price. I did threaten to walk out on them a couple times before they got to a reasonable price for my trade it. I already had a number from Tesla and had it in email so I had that to negotiate with. Plus I was legit ready to walk if they didnt make me a reasonable offer.
I have a 2022 SF Hybrid that makes a loud beeping sound when in reverse. Does the 2024 make that same sound? Was hoping they would change that sound, similar to Honda's Hybrid cars, a less jarring sound.
Good & very detailed ownership review..! I’m kinda in same situation as you were about a month ago - I’m choosing between Toyota GHL Hybrid vs Hyundai SF Hybrid Limited… Currently I own ‘21 Toyota HL Hybrid. Hey - does the Santa Fe come with Dash cam by any chance? Also I’m leaning toward Brown interior
Man, I'm at the same boat too. My 21 venza lease ia about up and i have similar choices but I'm leaning toward the Rav4 prime. I just recently saw this vehicle and it's 😍.
Just bought the bronze matte finish with white interior. Went with the Calligraphy mainly because of the back seat captains chairs and the wheels. All in about $52k and I can honestly say it's better than I dreamed it would be.
Thanks for sharing. Bought this car a few weeks ago. I did pay less but I traded my car in. I have the same exterior color and black interior. But I don’t have the Hybrid bc I didn’t know it existed lol. But I Love it.. I have no complaints. Can you post the link for the floor mats pls. Saw a few on Amazon but haven’t bought yet because not enough reviews as yet. Enjoy!!
My wife bought the Santa Fe hybrid SEL for $39,000. Hyundai did a fantastic job on this SUV. You do get a lot. It is an excellent SUV. She bought the green exterior and black interior.
I just bought my wife a 2024 Limited Hybrid 3 days ago. She loves it. She wanted the Calligraphy but had to settle for the Limited to get the colors she wanted (black exterior/ gray interior). Our kids are all out of the house, so we aren't concerned about the light interior.
Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited has 4 key advantages over this in my opinion. 1: Drivetrain - Non Turbo engine with a proven reliability along with Toyota's eCVT 2: Spare Tire. 3: Slightly more spacious 4: Dual 1500 watts shared Power outlets compared to one 400 watts. Santa Fe does offer better more traditional AWD system and more features like UV sanitizing compartment and massaging seats as well on the Calligraphy?
Great video. What kind of floor mats did you get? Are they thru Hyundai? I just got the same car but did not come with mats they told me “they’re on back order” smh
No, sorry, for 3000 more the Calligraphy has much more to offer. Heads up display, digital camera rear view mirror, second row captains chairs, upgraded leather seats with thigh supports in first row
My lease is over this summer and my choices are the highlander, rav4 prime, and now this is getting my eye. What's that 1 major feature that made you choose this suv?
You picked up a Hyundai over a Toyota? Honestly that is not a good call. Toyotas are way more reliable. Let us know if you have engine or transmission problems as you drive it.
I've had a Toyota Camry and a Toyota Venza as well as a Santa Fe and another one I just bought yesterday. Toyota is having a ton of problems these days with supply chains. The technology upgrade this Santa Fe has over thirty competitors is amazing
I suspected Sorento PHEV is better deal because unkle Joe will kick in $6500 towards the lease. Then, the PHEV electrical motor has more HP vs hybrid motor. In this vedio you can hear the engine. When I test drove the PHEV, it was extreamly quiet from the start. I like interior of Santa Fe better than Sorento, but Sorento is much better looking / sporty vehicle. It will be a while untill dealers will take something of the MSRP. I predict there will be a lot more Sorento's sold / available in US since they are assembled in GA. Santa Fe is made in Korea.

We have a camry 2022 and we hated it so outdated for 36k new we waiting for the santa fe calligraphy in white with pecan entirior we never have or will own a vehicle with black entirior we have no kids
It's a long wait. The Calligraphy is not available with the pecan brown accented with black interior. That is only available in the limited trim. The Calligraphy has the gray with white, the green with very light beige or the monotone black interior. I just got a 2025 Rockwood Green Calligraphy Hybrid with black interior yesterday

Yes, test drove and got it and it wasn’t even on our list! Very happy with it.

Is there enough HP and Torque ? Specs of ICE engine has much higher HP and Torque than Hybrid models... THX

That is amazing you were able to get them down from MSRP!!👏
So many dealerships are marking these up!
Hopefully I'll have your luck!

No Dash Cam. I already have one. But the 360 camera is on point.

If you can find one. Dealers in my area out because of stop sale

How is using the blindspot screens on the dash? Is it useful?
How well has the white interior held up with your kids? Is it easy to clean?

One of the YT's just have the dealer bought back his Santa Fe due to transmission problems after two new transmissions. I wonder how pervasive it is..
I saw that too, I wonder if they only bought it back cause they have a big following.
I saw that too, I wonder if they only bought it back cause they have a big following.
The hybrid's don't have this issue because it uses a different transmission. Only the gas models are having that problem.
very good review....keep up!
Is Hybrid in the US yet ?
Yes they are available.
Looks like it. His license plate is for new jersey.
If you afford the Limited version, get it. It has everything.

The room inside. I have a family, and this has better room inside than the Highlander.
Also, the price. A lot cheaper and you get more for your $$

34 hgw. We drove for 4 hrs on the highway full tank and barely got the half the tank after it. No bad.
I got 560 miles out of my first tank in an SEL hybrid AWD.

Hyundai Santa Fe is actually constructed in Montgomery Alabama
Nice ! What's your average MPG for your long trip ?
It's actually what it says, 34.
Whats the name of that colour.

Agreed, the competition can do better.
50k? OMG. Oh hybrid. Hmm.. Okay
The Hybrid is only 500 more than the gas version.
Any problem with transmission????
Smooth so far.
this hybrid has a naturally aspirated 6 speed unlike the 8 dct which isn't trusted to have

Nothing to worry about. Comes with 10-year 100,000-mile warranty. Twice the competition's, twice as reliable.
The Hyundai 6-speed automatic is pretty durable paired with the hybrid. Just don't expect it to last 250k+ miles.
