He's a hunk but this drama was way too masochistic for me.
It was a rough watch for sure but he utterly nailed it. Love is many things but ya, this series hurt big time. Not for the faint of heart.
Acting was suberb. But drama character was toxic and script was a typically an ''how to abuse woman'' script. We should not encourage that, there are way too many woman in this world who are abused daily like that.
@@PaithanNL Right, just because we love these dramas doesn't mean we should be subjected to watching women get abused repeatedly. There are some with heroic women and kind men which are great to watch so give those the high ratings and object to those that don't meet our expections.

Oh he drank, oh he wanted to make stronger, oh he wanted to help me, oh it is all my fault, if I stay and love and obay him more, he will change, etc. Meanwhile the whole drama she was humiliated and a moving hitting target by the man who should protect her. F@ck the script writers I don't buy it! 👿

Most handsome actors in both ancient costume and modern dramas are Vin Zhang (China version of Ji Chang-Wook), Chen Xingxu, Vic Zhou and Xiao Zhan. The others are alright in modern dramas, just that they wear thicker make-up in ancient costume dramas which give the illusion that they are good looking. Not a fan of guys with monolids and slit eyes like Deng Lun and Wang Yibo (face is too long as well) as they are not considered Chinese standards of beauty. This is not to criticise their acting though (I love Deng Lun's acting).
