Could listen to James talk all day...very interesting. I've just pre-ordered the album.

I could listen to James Dean Bradfield talk about anything all day long. Always enjoy hearing his insight on various topics and appreciate his self deprecation and humble attitude. He’s always been more intelligent than he gives himself credit for. My favorite “famous” person of all time, a true hero deserving of being admired.

As a chilean, I really love his realization that the music of Victor Jara is gentle, is pure tenderness.

I bought the record today and fucking love it. I avoided the youtube plays and promotions as much as I could so that I could hear it afresh. It's a beautiful piece of work. The music is great. I've just got to get into the lyrics and find out about this Victor Jarra guy.

Patrick's poetry is brilliant, I have quite a few of his books. I recommend anyone getting into them.

How me managed the Holy Bible as well as he did I'll never know. So talented, and criminally underrated as a musician.

He was using the Welsh computer, you just have to book it in advance, I have it atm but I have to take it over to Rob Brydon's later.

Here in Argentina we have the Libertarian eminence named Alberto Benegas Lynch who defines Libertarianism as: "It is unrestricted respect for the life projects of others." I think it's a good way to put it to what James says I think I'm not mistaken

James is a great song-writer, but not a great thinker. He was a bit out of his depth at the beginning of this interview, as he himself admitted. Writing an album glorifying a1970's communist activist seems somewhat 'problematic,' to use the term so beloved by the communist censors of 2020.

    • @allrain

It does seem "problematic" to you, problematic.

The guy was killed, you know. Murdered. Anyway, for people who have problems with all (or any) things communist, there probably won't be too much to enjoy in Manics' body of work.

"but not a great thinker" just because his way of thinking doesn't align with yours 🙄

Victor GarP No. He admitted his own limitations in the interview.

Ilya Borschuk Jet Plane to Moscow. It’s about being fooled by communist propaganda. You live, and learn. Don’t be a useful idiot for evil ideologies. The Manics learnt this from their trip to Cuba.
