i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost the account password. I love any tricks you can give me.
2:40 I like the fact you gave them a heads up and thanked them, most other videos I see involve skaters going head on expecting others to give them priority
This is insane!! You've truly put the "Free" into Free skating; there's absolutely no limits to what you can do. I was actually more scared for Alex filming you for the most part; he too did an amazing job for keeping up with you. :p
exactly, i was like "wow" after noticing that he followed you on these little blocks at the end, still steady with his camera!!!! You guys have some deadly skills!!!
yeah, imagine him going on the partition steps, hopping while maintaining visual haha. was funny --free skate is my fav type of skate, the freedom, the environment, the adventure
Haha! We filmed from about 7:00am - 8:30am on Sunday morning. Calgary is a funny city. A lot of people work downtown but not many people live downtown Calgary. After work hours the downtown core is empty.
Calgary is literally one of the most beautiful looking Cities i have seen, perfect for skating and pretty much anything else. The people seem so kind and carefree to. I will have to pay a visit to Canada very soon. Shout out from the UK!
At 2:25 I thought: oh, that's an amazing skill, and then i put again on 0.5x and realize I can do it too because it isn't so hard. It's just simple moves but together they are really beautiful. Congratulations for the creativity.
i think what i appreciate most about these videos is the fact that you keep with the fundamentals for a very smooth, controllable style. for example, your "predator position" always looks the same. my own style is more along the lines of improvisation. my legs often look like theyre flailing through crossovers and who knows what my arms do. if im not going as fast as my wheels will go, im not happy, but your focus on consistency over speed is refreshing. thanks for all the great videos, and keep on skating on!
Loved your video Shaun, with all the crazy obstacles n beautiful traffic free streets..your friend has done an excellent job following you with the camera!
Ya, I agree with you. I have learnt skating, about two months after 46 years of my lie :) and I felt in love with it. I love to skate outside and my 10 years daughter took me out 4 time and it was vert fun and I learnt a lot in action.
Just took up skating again, after almost 5 years of inactivity (been skating my whole life)... Your videos motivate me, to become better, practice more and take chances...
Oh man this was great. I had to remind myself to inhale every now and then thanks o me being so engrossed. I would love to be able to do that, with a tiny bit more aggressive flair as that would be my preference of skating. But wow that looked like an absolute paradise. In regards to your jumping videos, I've come to the realization (or it's just my "style") that my heel pop in aggressive skates does not yield the air I so desire but it does help me traverse those small bumps you mentioned. But your toe push and part of your "how to drop in" have shown me my own way to practice traversing those larger patches and undesired patches of ground. Thanks Shop Task, this guy is representing you all out in sleepy little Stouffville Ontario.
Just recently picked up inline skating after not having done it since i was 12 and found your channel and love it! It’s helped me learn new stuff and refresh others...know of anyone in Jacksonville, FL (USA) that could teach me to skate like you? lol keep up the good content
Thank you for sharing. I am so excited for you. The rush of learning new moves on your skates one of the best feelings. I don't personally know any instructors in Jacksonville but if you check the link you will find a few instructors in Florida. www.skateia.org/instructors/?country=United+States&instructor_state=Florida+-+FL&instructor_state_17=&instructor_city=&um_search=1
Shop Task thanks for the reply! I’ll check it out...also, thanks to your tutorial on 180 turn/jump, I now can do it successfully (so long as I don’t skate too fast haha)
That cameraman is soooo good! To keep up with Shaun, getting great angles, and all while doing some sick skating as well! Great job, Alex! I am thoroughly impressed! =D
Thank you for the nice comment. That is a typo but ironically the wheels also have a typo. On the Mushroom Blading logo side of the wheel the durometer is stated as 85A and on the other side of the wheel, the durometer is stated as 86A. Dustin Werbeski pointed this out and he said the wheels are actually 86A.
Love it, are those camo pants specially made for skating, im getting into more aggressive street, looked almost like those pants had extra built in? Let me know were you got them please? Or were i can get great wear for skating, been out of the loop for a minute;) ty
Wonderful skating as usual lots of skills,...when U were going down those steep from that building I would've never know such places exist in this world ,..but is it OK that I watch back some of your old videos.?
Amazing flow , I really like the transitions from Alex filming to the go pro. I guessed you picked the perfect day, the streets looked empty . One question though, what posture would be best when rolling fast? I'm aware of staying low but should I stay in scissors position or keep both feet closed up together? Skate safe.
I prefer a very slight scissor. Generally, my right foot is about half a skate length in front of my left foot. This allows me to safely roll over bumps that I did not anticipate and still be in a good position to jump or make a quick turn.
Calgary is an interesting city. Many people work downtown and there are a lot of interesting places to skates. However, there are very few people that live downtown so on weekends the downtown core empty.
I hate being hurt and not being able to skate. It gets me a bit depressed sometimes. The weird thing is that sometimes you can improve your skating just by thinking about it or imagining yourself skating. I remember after 2 months off skates because of a broken ankle I put the blades and I could do a couple new tricks.
Man, you skate so natural, make it look so easy I beliave I can put my skates on and do so. Then I wake up and realice I would brake my teeth on the first jump!!
I'm curious: do you shoot your videos in a ghost town or do you shoot them at like 6am on a Sunday morning or in public holidays only? Shops are closed and I can hardly see any people or traffic in your videos. I'd like to see some videos where you would have to deal with crossing people's way and doing lots of "emergency" stops, would that be possible?
Hello Shawn ! ooooohhhh this video is greatt !! the effect of the kind camera man over the static stick is soo cool, feels like we're skating with ya. this video is nicely timely for now cuz im waiting for my bearings and wheels, i aint using my new skate until they arrive in almost 2 weeks time !! so i get to enjoy this one now, hehe. wow, even while watching, very good runs/rides/routes... and mannn you got a free lift ! free uphill - wow, and transition cameras, this is one of the m0st enjoyable skate videos ever !! hoohoo :)
Oh man! Thank you so much. What a nice comment. I really enjoyed filming, skating and editing this video. I am excited for the potential of this making more videos using multiple cameras and filming techniques.
haha i had no idea you rplied, no notification. enjoyed and wanted to watch it again now, another good thing is, this video starts off you talking , so that way it left us with no idea all the cool stufs boutta happen. have a cool day dude ! :)
It's crazy I reconize most of the city from a vid where a guy was going around Calgary asking women who's hotter. Sean Monohan or Johnny Gaudreau lol. Sick skating btw.
Bro ..I like your skating skills ... I want to learn .. plz give me tips ... So that I also skates like u...and I don't know how to skate ...your videos inspired me...then I want to compete with u..
This is just awesome in pure form, I love it. This is just the kind of skating I wish to get into! But I'll admit that those big wheels scare me a bit :) Is the rockered Wizard frames the secret to still having the control?
The Wizard frame makes this style of skating much easier. The big wheels make for effortless speed. The natural rocker increases manoeuvrability without sacrificing stability. And the combination of the Seba SX boot and Intuition liner is super comfortable and high performance. By far the best all round city skate.
The camera man is totally inSANE!!
@Ignacio Draven wow insecurities run in your family? 😂
I know right. To get those shots he has got to be an even better skater than the guy being filmed. He is out of this world good.
i know Im randomly asking but does anybody know a trick to log back into an instagram account??
I stupidly lost the account password. I love any tricks you can give me.
@Julius Trenton instablaster :)
Wearing a helmet, giving callouts to unsuspecting people, and thanking them are just a few of the reasons why I love this channel
I know! Alex is a beast. Skipping over the short concrete pads, at high speed, with a camera was insane.
exactly, i was like "wow" after noticing that he followed you on these little blocks at the end, still steady with his camera!!!! You guys have some deadly skills!!!
yeah, imagine him going on the partition steps, hopping while maintaining visual haha. was funny --free skate is my fav type of skate, the freedom, the environment, the adventure
GetSkateyWithNatey I was concerned for your film guy getting hurt trying to follow you.
GetSkateyWithNatey with practic is very easy
Nice flow and empty streets the best...
Thanks Shaun and Alex
what's wrong with this city? no cars, almost no people. what time was it?
Haha! We filmed from about 7:00am - 8:30am on Sunday morning. Calgary is a funny city. A lot of people work downtown but not many people live downtown Calgary. After work hours the downtown core is empty.
+Shop Task sunday morning.... it explain everything:-)
That's what is right about that city.
Zombie Apocalypse! 🤪
Corona time
Calgary is literally one of the most beautiful looking Cities i have seen, perfect for skating and pretty much anything else. The people seem so kind and carefree to. I will have to pay a visit to Canada very soon. Shout out from the UK!
That was great man, really had me pumping with adrenaline. Kudos for the cameraman as well. Good luck in the future.
Thank you, my friend. Alex (the camera man) is so fast even with a camera.
Parts of that skate were poetry in motion. Beautiful. It seems Calgary was built for skating.
Thank you, Nigel.
more free skate please!!!!!!
Much more coming!
In our town, we can not find an empty place for free skating, even midnight, even 5 A.M. of holidays. Its so populated and crowdy. (Tehran)
At 2:25 I thought: oh, that's an amazing skill, and then i put again on 0.5x and realize I can do it too because it isn't so hard. It's just simple moves but together they are really beautiful. Congratulations for the creativity.
But this move is not new
i think what i appreciate most about these videos is the fact that you keep with the fundamentals for a very smooth, controllable style. for example, your "predator position" always looks the same. my own style is more along the lines of improvisation. my legs often look like theyre flailing through crossovers and who knows what my arms do. if im not going as fast as my wheels will go, im not happy, but your focus on consistency over speed is refreshing. thanks for all the great videos, and keep on skating on!
Thank you.
Naturally, I am methodical and focused when learning a new skate spot. I like to plan out the line and I favour rhythm over speed.
you and that biker almost collided lol.
That was amazing!! Mad props to Alex. Really enjoy watching the flow
Loved your video Shaun, with all the crazy obstacles n beautiful traffic free streets..your friend has done an excellent job following you with the camera!
Thank you! Alex is an amazing skater and is quickly becoming an amazing photographer and videographer.
I love your videos, I study them. You have a special style. Make more video. I will wait.
Thank you, my friend. There will be more videos coming. Hopefully, I can make another video this week before my filmer Alex travels to Austria.
Ya, I agree with you. I have learnt skating, about two months after 46 years of my lie :) and I felt in love with it. I love to skate outside and my 10 years daughter took me out 4 time and it was vert fun and I learnt a lot in action.
were u born with wheels??
@5:30 was lit
Calgary does look like an amazing place to skate. Canada in general just looks beautiful.
Canada in general is raw and beautiful. Such a wonderful country with wonderful people.
Just took up skating again, after almost 5 years of inactivity (been skating my whole life)... Your videos motivate me, to become better, practice more and take chances...
+Morten Nielsen YES! Let’s go!
Those three old dudes did very good job filming you.
Wow man! This is mesmerizing... pure joy to watch you skating! Keep it up and stay safe
Oh man this was great. I had to remind myself to inhale every now and then thanks o me being so engrossed. Thank you, Daniel! Represent Stouffville!
Great video Shaun, that was a LOT of fun to watch 😊🙌
Thank you so much.
Insane skating and the camera man is an absolute boss.
This was a sick free skate video!
Your heel and toe pop videos were a game changer for me!

Best free skating video that I have ever seen. I could feel the adrenaline.
At about minute 2:20 you do some foot work I'd love to learn! Could you do some videos???
Wow that camera man was running really fast and kept the camera steady
That is Alex Co being the camera. He is a beast.
Awesome stuff! I like your creative use of your environment :)
Thank you. I love being able to explore and interact with the city.
Just recently picked up inline skating after not having done it since i was 12 and found your channel and love it! It’s helped me learn new stuff and refresh others...know of anyone in Jacksonville, FL (USA) that could teach me to skate like you? lol keep up the good content

5:30 love this part
Thanks! I did not plan on keeping the backwards skating flowing but it worked out really well.
Could you make a video about going backward ? It's really hard to keep your balance maybe you have some advice. Thank you
Yes. I will.
I'm watching your video now... 02.04.2020. and the way city looks like reminds me something...
Kudos to the camera guy in your vids!!!
That cameraman is soooo good! To keep up with Shaun, getting great angles, and all while doing some sick skating as well! Great job, Alex! I am thoroughly impressed! =D
Alex is the man.
I don’t think I’ve seen that wide-squat, knee driven, slalom technique for mitigating speed before. It’s interesting!
Can you still do a Bill Stoppard style stop with wizard NR frames @Shoptask
Pro cameramen !! Hollywood ready !
I love to skate too!! Great technique! Love this videos! I'm big fan!
u guys u are really adventurous ....your moves are too much scary
I love your skating but the position of your hands are very special..
Very cool. You really have some nice skills. Btw, i think there's a typo in the description at the Wheels line. 865A?
Thank you for the nice comment. That is a typo but ironically the wheels also have a typo. On the Mushroom Blading logo side of the wheel the durometer is stated as 85A and on the other side of the wheel, the durometer is stated as 86A. Nice camera work!
Thank you!
Love it, are those camo pants specially made for skating, im getting into more aggressive street, looked almost like those pants had extra built in? Let me know were you got them please? Or were i can get great wear for skating, been out of the loop for a minute;) ty
I think hes wearing kneepads under them. He always wears kneepads so id be surprised if he wasnt
@@eliaspratt8690 oh got ya... in stead of the outside? Awkward! Lmfao

Skate safe
yeah its strange, over here in Asia, its very populated, its sometime strange to see such an empty atmosphere - looks pleasant anyhow!
hyperiuSupern0va wow , In my country I can get the clear are but the roads or surface can be so rough and difficult to skate.
Calgary is an interesting city. Many people work downtown and there are a lot of interesting places to skates. However, there are very few people that live downtown so on weekends the downtown core empty.
Soooo good!!
I am nursing an injury and missing my skate time. This was perfect medicine.
The climb up the escalator was like taking a ski lift up to the top of the slopes
You're do it so satisfying👍really cool
Man, you skate so natural, make it look so easy I beliave I can put my skates on and do so. Then I wake up and realice I would brake my teeth on the first jump!!
Haha! It takes time and practise but I am sure one day you can skate like this one day.
That was soooo fun to watch!
Fantastic skating content as always, Shaun.
Thanks brother man!
9:40 - DUDE! 😲😲😲
I want to ask you to make more videos about different interesting elements. Your videos about jumping, gazelle, med spin are amazing. Thanks.
Thank you. I will continue making more how to videos.
Shaun. Your belt bag is fearless! =)

Man, i'm new in this sport and your videos are great motivation!
Shawn this was great dude!
Thank you! Always appreciate the support.
I Love these free skating videos thumbs up
Thank you so much.
Any tips to get strong enough to even jump with stability on my skates? I feel like I would need to build up a good amount of strength first?
How does one go about learning how to do 2:24 - 2:32 ?
I love this channel!!!!!!!!!!!
Sick moves, sir!

It's crazy I reconize most of the city from a vid where a guy was going around Calgary asking women who's hotter. Sean Monohan or Johnny Gaudreau lol. Sick skating btw.

Shop Task Lmao
Thanks Shaun!!
