It was worth the pain! Very cute. This is actually one of the few Think Pink boxes that I sewed up immediately. I got the black color way and did the Tilly and the buttons Mabel dress.
Hi, Cynthia! Your blouse is adorable in spite of all the frustrations. I think you made a good call on the sleeve construction. That sounded much more complicated than it needed to be.
LOL. I agree the collar instructions and sleeve construction were more complicated than what they needed to be. After wearing this blouse, I love it even more. I may have to make another one (just not soon).
It turned out really well! I've had patterns like that where the techniques were not the way I was used to doing things. I think I would have assembled the lined sleeve and then set the whole thing in. Hand stitching a lining to an armhole would be really fiddly. That must have required a lot of patience. I really admire how you keep challenging yourself and improving your sewing skills. I really love this print, and I suspect it will get a lot of wear this summer.
Nancy Zieman does a Pivot and Slide method and it is pretty easy to do If you only have a small amount to adjust.😊
You did a great job on that top.
Thank you so much 😊

Today is the first day I have worn this top. While I was at the grocery, I got compliment after compliment. Definitely a win. 😄
What a lovely, refreshing, and unique pattern design! You did a fab job! Love it with the white shorts! So summery! 💛🍋
Thank you so much. Now that I have finished it, I believe it is one of my favorites.
Woo hoo - congratulations on your first thousand subscribers, Cynthia! Lovely blouse too. Altering patterns is a challenge along with a prayer.
Thank you, Loriann. I love the way it turned out, and it is perfect for summer.
It’s gorgeous on you Cynthia. Love the pattern. I must make something with my fabric also
Thank you. I believe it is going to be a favorite. 😊🍋

I still have that fabric, and didn't know what I wanted to make from it, but a blouse is really cute. I think that is what I will do too now.
I love the way it looks. I wore it to town yesterday and received a lot of compliments. A blouse is a good idea.
Gorgeous outfit, Cynthia
Thank you 😊
I love the top. I want to try it but it does sound intimidating. Thank you for your thorough review.
Glad you enjoyed it. You can do it, but I do recommend it for a slow project. 😊
Cute top! ❤
Thank you.
I love your top 🍋
Thank you. I believe it is going to be a favorite. Perfect for summer.
That is how I,learned to sew. When I went to pick out a pattern I would choose one I found difficult to do.
I believe it has helped me to grow as a sewist too.
Hi Cynthia, I love you top. I have fabric similar to that, but it has oranges on it.
Thank you. Oranges sounds pretty too. This is the perfect summer top. 😊
