Watching your little Princess dance with the fireworks brought tears to my eyes! Our first Disney trip with our Princess was the GF and our room was right where you guys were standing. Every night my daughter danced to the fireworks in her jammies and it was pure magic.

So glad Ellie did so good for you in the car and that you guys made it safely! The room look very nice and that bathroom is massive! Definitely could see how that would be a challenge with a toddler though.
So beyond thankful for our smooth road trip 🙌🏼 And the room was beautiful!! The no bathtub thing was a challenge, and using the restroom during the night or nap time was interesting 😂 But how can you complain when you’re staying at the GRAND?! 😍

So happy that Ellie did so well and is so excited! Since your stay was a dedicated reservation that you can't modify, do you think the owner had already requested a handicapped room possibly? Room was still very nice and you lucked out on the view! Can't wait to see OKW!
The front desk informed me that it was simply because we were the last the arrive and check in that evening, so it was not the room the owner requested. The view ended up being amazing though!!
As someone who is paralyzed and in a wheelchair this room is a dream room! It’s a how every hotel needs to do it!
It really is the perfect room to accommodate a wheelchair ☺️ So glad these rooms are an option!

I go to you for ALOT of my Disney info, and I have a random question I am planning our trip and it’s our families first time going all together, trying to stay budget friendly, and I was just wondering would you consider magic bands to be a must, I am just completely on the fence with getting one since you can use your phone? I love this video though, so cute ☺️
Aw thank you so much! ❤️ You can absolutely go without magic bands. Personally, I love the convenience of having it on me when staying at a Disney resort, but my mom did not have one this trip, and she had no complaints! It really comes down to the convenience factor and your preference ☺️

What did you think of driving this trip? We were thinking of making it over Thanksgiving. It’s 11 hours for us 😬 my girls are 20 and 16…lol. So they would pop in their AirPods and be good for the trip. Is the process of renting DVC really simple? Do you get the room you “book”?
We actually loved driving! For 11.5 hours in the car with a toddler, it went SO WELL 🙌🏼 And yes! We rent DVC points for almost every trip, the process is super simple. And yes, the room you book is exactly what you get ☺️ Unless you get an upgrade, which has happened for us before!
For this stay we got exactly what we booked, a deluxe studio standard view. Technically, accessible rooms are not a room type you can book, so you have the chance of getting the accessible room with any room type, if that makes sense.
How did you guys do with having Ellie Rose in the bathroom ? We didn’t end up putting my son in the bathroom because we didn’t know what we would do and we were also at an all star resort. Trying to plan for our next trip with 2 littles
It’s challenging for sure 😆 But we’ve figured out a rhythm with having her set up in the bathroom. First we make sure her pack n play is positioned in a spot where we have a clear path to the toilet if needed in the middle of the night (and we just wait to flush until morning 😅). Second, we utilize the sink to get ready for bed before she goes down. It’s tricky when I want a snack at 10pm but I’ve already brushed my teeth 🤣 That’s pretty much how we make it work though!
I had to call about this. I noticed now so many rooms are now converting to showers (ada or not) and make sure I got assigned a room with a tub as my special needs son can’t stand to take a shower. I think they need to add this to the online check in process or something….we arrive in a few weeks and I was afraid this exact thing would happen and we would be assigned a room with a shower and no rooms left for us to be reassigned to
That’s so smart to call. Now I know to make that request! I 100% agree, it should absolutely be included as an option through online check in. My 2 year old was even listed on the reservation, so I’m wondering who thought this room assignment would be a good fit for 2 adults with a toddler 🤷🏼♀️
@@BekahHart my 19 month old only takes showers cause baths hurt her eczema, so maybe they have a kid like mine...or don't have kids? But they should absolutely have these type of requests available cause so many people have different access needs and Disney is typically known for being very accommodating for different access needs. Love that balcony though!
@@CarissaHelmer88 Agreed! And we could have potentially taken the ADA room while another family could have benefited from it. Now I know to make my room request more specific by calling 🤪
You may want to make it clear that this is an ADA room tour because it could be very helpful for families/groups that require them for travel!

Actually not at all! Because we rent DVC points, we saved 50% on our rooms at the Grand and Old Key West! ☺️

I would rather stay at the Pop Century Resort. Recently refurbished & cheap hotel rooms, and the Skyliner is located by it.
