Hi Kim,this is mwathe from meru.thanks for your continued enlightenment on this field of bsf. My question is about the best substrate to feed the larvae, which is this market waste you are refering,is it combined with hotel waste?how about the ratios of maize bran and wheat bran as compared with the 5kg azolla?/bin?

Hello brother, I am from India,
From all your videos what Major thing I found is, BSF larvae grows very fast with vegitable wastage, but I live in rural area(very far from city), I can't get manure/vegitable waste. I want to produce 50 KG larvae daily for my fish.
1.can I feed super nepier grass or banana tree stem to BSF larvae? (I have farm land, so that I can grow grass at home).
    2. How much food we should provide to produce 1 kg larvae?
    3. Can I feed only boiled rice to feed BSF.
    4. Is there any way to decrease feed consumption. please reply.
    Thanks in advance.

And please compare azolla (with molasses yeast) and super Napier grass(or normal animal feeding grass) with molasses and yeast).

      I'm new to bsf.
But from logic. Since azolla and wheat bran did well.
Doing an azolla with rice mix will do well.
